Great product, great support
These CATLINK self cleaning boxes have been a life saver for my household. I have 3 of these since I have multiple cats. Although, not cheap they are a great investment since I travel so much for work. It saves money on a cat sitter. They are very easy to setup and use. The anti pinch feature truly works. Initially my cats were extremely curious about the rotation of the units and kept sticking their heads into the bubble, or tapped their paws on it, the unit comes to a complete stop. I even tested it by putting my hand in through the opening as it rotates and it stops immediately for me, too. It's easy to transition your cat from a regular box to this one by putting some of the old litter into the Catlink and your cat will start using it. I don't have a step stool for my senior cats but they jump in and out easily. Emptying the drawers every week is pretty simple. I had an error issue with one of the units and had to email Catlink support They responded quickly and provided multiple troubleshooting steps and video. They also called me directly when the steps didn't work for me. Great customer support.

Catlink auto litterbox fan
I have a multi cat home and have for years. I have seen auto litter cat boxes but never really considered getting one because the ones I looked at were very expensive. One day fate intervened and an acquaintance told me about the CATLINK Cat Litter Box and she was very happy with it AND the price was much more affordable. I took a leap and decided to order it. LIFE CHANGING for me! I can not love this cat box more than I do. My cats adapted immediately (probably something to do with cat curiosity) but they got in it immediately and they all use it. I do have a couple of very old kitties and was worried they would not be able to get in and out easily but problem solved. I purchased a catlink pedestal and no problem. The box is easy to clean and the litter bags are also a cinch to change as well. I love that I am not constantly scooping out poop. I loved the first box so much I purchased another one. I honestly do not notice any cat odor either. The box signals when litter bag needs to be changed which is typically every 2-3 days. I highly recommend this litterbox! I give it all the stars!

Quiet, No Stink, Big Drawer
Had this about 1 month and I'm impressed. I've had other automatic litter boxes but in my eyes this is the best one. My #1 priority has been smell because it's in a home office. I literally smell nothing until the drawer is opened! The drawer is pretty big- I didn't change the bag for 5 days at the longest and it wasn't even half full for 1 cat. It's pretty quiet when it cleans; the first few days it reminded me of a fan going but it eventually became background noise and I don't notice it anymore. I was worried about the height of it because it's so tall. I had to buy a litter-catching step for my 10 pound cat to get in. No biggie though. This is a really good one, I'm seriously considering buying another one for a relative.

A good and (comparatively) cheap automatic litterbox
I have been using this for about 6 months now. I have 2 cats and this litterbox works well. They were both very wary of it at first but after a week or so started using it. To train them, I put their old litterbox beside the CatLink, full of litter. After they left presents in the old box, I put one or two in the cat link to give it the "smell" and then stopped empyting the old one. It made the room smell bad for a bit, but eventually my cats got the memo and started using the CatLink. My cats had previously refused to use an enclosed box before, so if yours are already okay with that then the transition will probably be smoother for you. One of my cats is quite large too, at about 17-18 lbs and he uses it with no issues. For litter, I have used Arm and Hammer Slide with this and it works great. The Slide litter is great no matter what box it is in as it keeps clumps from sticking to the box. The litter itself is fairly small/fine, about the consistency of steel cut oatmeal. It flows through the filter in the CatLink with no issue and then right back into the main chamber after it is cleaned. Definitely recommend the Slide litter with this box even though it is a little pricier than other brands. There is a manual (cleans when you push the button) and automatic mode (cleans about 30 seconds after your cat leaves the box). I used manual for the first couple months but now I run it completely automatic with no real issues. With my 2 cats, the storage container holds exactly one week of spent litter so I replace the liner weekly when I empty my normal household trash. Occasionally the pan will show as full near the end of the week. However, the litter is deposited in the left side of the tray so I take the pan out and give it a quick shake to distribute it evenly and it's good to go until trash day. In automatic mode it does control smell really well. I hardly ever smell anything at all unless the collection pan is nearly full and I am within 10 feet of the litterbox. The only real negative I can note is that when it cleans and the main chamber rotates, it makes a weird high pitched "squeegee" sound. It's a little annoying but it more concerns me because it sounds like parts rubbing together, which is always bad for anything mechanical. Maybe it is a legit squeegee that catches litter, I'm not sure. I got this during black Friday where it had $150 off the base price of $500, which is also going on now at the time I write this review. It's a lot to pay for a litterbox, but I decided that for around $370 after tax, if I got one solid year of use then that's just a little over a dollar a day to never have to scoop again. 6 months in, that has been my experience. If this thing keeps working till November then suddenly stops working, I would probably buy another. Update 12/02/2024 (a little over a year of use): Still working and still pretty happy with it. The liner bags are available here on Amazon but I have also discovered that you can really use the liners multiple times, at least with the brand of litter I use. You can pop the tray out and dump the spent litter into another trashbag. The automatic mode is a little finicky. It sometimes stops emptying and I'm not sure why, it just flashes the red error light like it detects a full tray even if it's not. I let it run a day or two and checked on it to find that it hasn't emptied (after my cats start going on the floor outside of it). I pretty much use it exclusively in manual mode now but it's still way better than scooping because I just have to press a button 1 or 2 times a day and then dump the tray in my household garbage at the end of the week. All in all after a year, I still am really happy with my purchase and if it went kaput today I would have had that roughly $1.00 per day to not worry about scooping for a full year, so I would order another if I got it at the same ~$375 price or cheaper.

Investment Well Made!!
When we decided to invest in an automatic litter box, I spent several days researching different brands and comparing options. I’m very glad we chose CATLINK, it has been outstanding. In fact, it performs just as well as, if not better than, some of the more expensive name-brand models. A friend of mine purchased one of those brands and now wishes they had saved the money and gone with CATLINK instead. Setup was simple, and our cats adapted to it within a couple of days. I kept their old litter box nearby during the transition, but after removing it, there were no issues at all. They now use the CATLINK just as naturally as they used their traditional litter box. I follow the maintenance guidelines in the manual and even go a step further by cleaning the interior every time I empty the waste bin. The unit is very well built and has served us reliably for several years. Recently, I experienced an issue with the weight sensors, but considering the age of the unit, I don’t view that as a fault of the product. What truly impressed me was CATLINK’s customer service. Their support team was exceptional, when I called they responded immediately and helped resolve the issue quickly and professionally. I only wish more companies provided the same level of customer care. If you’re considering an automatic litter box, I highly recommend CATLINK. It has been a worthwhile investment for our family and has made life much easier for both us and our cats. :)

Simple and Easy Solution to Litterboxes!
I've had this product for 3 years and last Black Friday I bought one more. Despite being the young version of their other options, both my cats have been using it with no issue. There's always a sale of some sort and Catlink products are much cheaper than the competitors. Additionally, I've had one issue that resolved itself in the 3 years that I've had this product and while I was looking into it, my experience with their customer service was exceptional. They're very fast to respond and the youtube channel is full of technical tips on using the products. My cats were pretty scared of this at first, so I recommend filling it with litter and not turning it on for a week or so. At least until they've acclimated to using it. One cat is scared of absolutely everything so it took him a whole year to try it since I didn't think to introduce it that way. But even so, it really helped offload my work with the old-fashioned litterbox as long as one of them liked the self-cleaning box. Now both of them use this all the time and they prefer it to the regular litterbox. Their litter boxes tend to dump the waste to one side, so I would recommend to open it daily (depending on your cat(s) and shake the used litter to the other side. Cleaning the ball chamber is pretty simple, and you can push a button to save all the clean litter if you needed to. Previously I had a cabinet that has a hidden entrance to the litterbox inside to reduce the smell of cat litter. This didn't work haha. I've never changed or touched the filter on the litter tray but I never smell it, and that's my favorite part. It's also got a foolproof rotation that keep your cats safe (something I wouldn't have thought of until I saw some newer competitors.) Anyway, I love this product and I absolutely recommend it to other cat owners. It doesn't take up much more space than your average litterbox, doesn't stink, and it will save you so much time in the long run.

Great litter box!
After many hours of reviews for cat litter boxes this one I kept coming back too. When you’re spending a lot of money, it’s hard to gamble on if you think they would work or not. Once I got this machine, it has been outstanding and has made owning cats much easier! With our busy schedules, this has been a lifesaver. We love the look and quality of this litter box! I even recommended it to a couple people who then went and bought one. After having it for a few months now I am still very happy. It’s easy to clean, very stable, and little to no odor except when it’s cycles. Great odor control. It is big and fits my medium size and large size cats. To top it off, customer service has been amazing answering my questions and troubleshooting them!

EDITED REVIEW: TWO YEARS: Quality and Reliability Concerns, but Customer Service is a gem.
I purchased the CATLINK Self Cleaning Cat Litter Box in July 2023. I was reasonably satisfied with the unit- while I wouldn't say the unit was odor free- it significantly reduced the amount of time I spent scooping- which made me happy. It also allowed me to travel for work without needing to find someone to come and scoop poop twice a day. Overall I was satisfied with my purchase despite the exorbitant initial cost- it really helped me live my life. In June of 2025- so not quite a full two years- my scooper stopped operating correctly. the unit stayed in 'empty' mode. I reached out to CATLINK's customer support- who talked me through several periods of troubleshooting. Ultimately- as a 'good faith' effort- they sent me a replacement base. Which provided welcome relief- since the initial cost was high and I sincerely didn't have it in my budget to buy a replacement unit. It should be mentioned- that when you are paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars for a poop scooper product that is simply plastic and a few basic electronics- I would expect exceptional customer service committed to customer satisfaction- CATLINK delivered that service and again- I was happy. After little over 2 months- the replacement base also stopped operating correctly. I reached back out to Customer Service for assistance- and proceeded through the many back and forth emails to troubleshoot only to find out that this unit also needs repair/replacement. This process has taken nearly a month to identify a solution- they will not offer a complimentary replacement but will allow me to purchase a replacement base at a 'discounted' rate but they are on backorder and they are unable to provide me with a timely solution. I did ask if they could assist by providing a discount code for Amazon- since Amazon does have the unit in stock- but they declined my request as not an available option. Out of frustration I stopped communicating with Catlink’s Customer Service and focused on finding competent cat care because I had another flight to catch. When I returned from my trip- I found several emails from Catlink’s Customer Service- following up, offering assistance. The holidays happened, and then I was on another flight. I just returned to find more emails from Catlink’s Customer Service- as well as a voicemail asking me to respond so they can coordinate my second replacement unit. This level of Customer Service is exceptional. Their dedication to making things right should be acknowledged and as such- I am happy to give them another chance. For the most part I was always satisfied with the unit- because it significantly reduces the amount of time spent scooping daily and is a reliable solution when I am traveling. If you replace the bag weekly: the smell is so minimal, and most people say they don’t smell anything- its just my hypersensitive nose. The inconvenience of dealing with occasional breakdowns can’t be ignored- however- it is my sincere hope that I have just had the unfortunate luck of receiving a couple ‘lemons’ and the next replacement unit will operate for years to come. I will continue to update this review as needed if anything changes.
