We would not recommend applying the tabs in any areas where pets would be drinking the treated water.

Why can't this be shipped to California?

We are unaware of any EPA restrictions for this product in your particular state. It should be available for purchase. For further assistance we would recommend contacting the seller directly.

Can this be used to control fungus gnats? Same as the mosquito bits product?

This product is formulated to control mosquito larvae and will not control fungus gnats. We do not currently have a product that will eliminate fungus gnats that we would recommend applying to water sources. To kill the pests on ornamental plants or lawns we would recommend applying our 3 in 1 Insect, Disease, & Mite Control spray.

Are these safe to use for growing vegetables (self-watering planters)?

This product is not formulated for use on or around edible plants used for food.
