Eddie Bauer Women's Lodge Down Duffle Coat

The eggplant color of this coat is beautiful. It is nice and long to keep my legs warm in the wind, plus it insulates my fanny from cold car seats. I've worn this coat in 40 degree fall weather without overheating, plus on shopping trips. When we finally had -20F, it still kept me warm. I really love that it has snaps for when I take the dog out for a quick walk. The hood is warm and is deep enough to block the wind. I didn't buy it for rainy weather, so I can't comment on water resistance. I usually wear a XXL or 2X and ordered this in 3X so I can wear thick layers under it.I had bought another brand of long down coat (O.R.) that was very highly rated by those who rate cold weather coats. Customer reviews said that coat ran large and to size down, so I ordered the largest size they had at the time, XL. That coat fit me OK on top, but was too tight through the hips. It was cut straight with no allowance for larger hips. It also didn't have snaps. That more expensive coat was returned and I ordered this Eddie Bauer coat which I love.

I am 5'1 and the jackets hits just above my ankles. I need it for being outside in the cold temps. Keeps my legs warm without having to wear insulated pants. Looks nice. I like how I can cinch in the waist for a more hour glassy look vs just wearing a duffle bag. I've washed it 3 times since I purchased it and it does fine on delicate or handwash cycle. It's not losing feathers like other brands I have owned. I've received many compliments while wearing. I love my jacket and wear it daily in 15 to 40 degree weather. It gets a little hot if I wear it in 50 degree plus weather. I don't find it too bulky but it's not thin either. I love the high neck on it. My only wish is that the zipper went down all the way and that it was a little wider at the bottom. I would buy again but hopefully I won't need to buy another for a long time.

Just received my coat it's very baby boom and good quality the only thing that is wrong is one of the slaves are a little shorter than the other one but I'll keep it as there really isn't that much difference but is shorter other than that good coat glad I purchased it

I love long coats since it helps keep your legs warm; but mall versions use thin material that tears too easy. Hearing this brand is known for using quality material is what made me get this. I used the same size as my current mall coat & I'm so glad I did..... perfect fit!This coat is incredibly comfy & cozy. The hood hugs your head & protects from the wind. The bottom 6 inches is closable with buttons only, which makes it wonderful for moving or driving without feeling constraint by a zipper.The outer material is a lot more thick & sturdy than my other long coats..... hopefully this means my dogs won't snag this material.

This coat is perfect! It is fantastic that Eddie Bauer has an extra tall option because that is exactly what I needed. I get compliments often and I really feel like I am in the snuggliest sleeping bag each time I go out in it. I am warm and cozy. Bring it on Chicago winter... I can take it (thanks to this nice coat). High quality is worth it!

We recently bought a place which sits on the lake so it’s 10 degrees cooler in the winter with heavy winds. Did my research and long winter coats and took a gamble. I absolutely love this coat. You feel completely insulated and cozy. I’m 5’1 108lbs and I usually go with a Medium and I’m glad I did! It’s perfect and stylish! ❤️❤️

Fantastic Winter coat! Bought a medium I’m 5’3 140. Perfect fit!Warm, cozy on the inside and fashionable. Kept me warm while visiting Detroit in the winter; the zipper allows a more appealing fit, or if I have a bulky sweater I can use the snap buttons to close coat that way and give myself some extra room if I prefer. Hood is convenient and Kept me warm; you can remove it as well. You can sinch waist in from the inside as well.I’ve seen these coats and many run the price of 300 and up. So this price is Great, for a good quality coat that will last.
