Really works
I have used this for 4 years.. First time I got it was because the sponges go way to fast for sunscreen & heavy oils in pool so I went to this & oh wow! What a difference it made & better than the sponges that soak up the oils. But I also had pollen floating on top of water at same time I was using for oils only & the pollen was gone! And last year I had an issue with dead algae that I could not get siphoned out but it was only a little & wow it was gone! So yes this is a winner for me. I use once a week for maintenance treatment & I’m good to go.. My fro& relatives always comment on how good my pool water looks every time they come over. Now I have never used on live algae only on dead algae & it’s been the best product ever.

Don’t think it did anything at all
I don’t think this did anything for my pool issue. I have an above ground 22x52 temporary type pool. The Intex power steal one that should last about 5-6 seasons, longer if I’m careful.I didn’t close down my pool correctly last season. I only lowered the water to just past the return lines and removed the skimmer. That was pretty much it. Didn’t even cover it. I was not doing so well at the end of last swimming season (2019) and I just didn’t have the energy to winterize. Anyways, when I looked at it in the early spring I wanted to cry. It was a mess. A yucky looking mess to put it nicely. So I drain and clean and vacuum, etc. I refil and add chemicals and balance. All seems well. I make sure to run filter each day and cover it when not in use. Well a couple days later it’s cloudy. I add clarifier. Even more cloudy. I add another higher dose of clarifier, still cloudy. Now I’m noticing an algae issue too. I do all the things several videos and articles and local pool supply tell me to clear it up and still very hazy and cloudy. I drain partially and add fresh water, looked better so I balance chemicals and allow the sand filter and pump to circulate the water for a couple days. Back to cloudy. I cannot see the floor of the pool at all. Algae is next to bloom again, So I order this stuff. I don’t want to go through adding all of those other chemicals and crap again. I read the description and reviews and it sounds like this is exactly what I need. It gets delivered, I read and re read instructions. After opening it, I wasn’t sure if maybe I got a bad one or something because the color of it is darkish brown and there is sediment in it. I almost didn’t add it but figured what do I have to loose at this point? I added it and it didn’t change a thing. Didn’t seem to make anything worse that I noticed but it didn’t clear anything up. So I give it the 48 or so hours the label tells you to and I add it again. Same result. I do it again with a bit of a higher dose, and yep, same result. I dumped the whole rest of it in (because why the heck not at this point) allowed the filter and pump to circulate constantly for a couple days, no change. This stuff didn’t do anything at all.I’ve had my pool for a few years now and this was the first year that I had such huge issues with it. I’m one of the weirdos that actually love cleaning and balancing the pool. I find it relaxing. It’s always been chrystal clean and balanced. Never had algae or haze or anything like that before. But because of myself not taking care of it I had a hell of a time with it this season. So if you are in the same type boat, this probably won’t do it. The only thing that finally worked was super chlorination with HTC ultimate 7 in 1 shock. Opening and dumping shock into a large kettle and mixing it up until it dissolves then pouring it into the pool along the edges. I doubled the amount of shock normally needed and dissolved and poured. Waited and allowed to circulate for 24 hours. Then I added HTC super algae guard. I added an “overdose” of it. I ended up with a lot of foam or soapy bubbles but it’s clean! Yay! I can see the bottom! But it’s the end of the season. Lol. Oh well. Learned a hard lesson I guess. I’ll be super winterizing this weekend. Not going through all that again.P.s.Yes I checked my sand filter and pump and it’s not broken. It’s a newer one and is working perfectly. Sized appropriately for my pool.

I have oak trees and need this during pollen season
I have a few oak trees and other types of trees near the pool. This product is the one that will turn my pool from green from pollen to clear in the least amount of time. I now have blue pool water that is pleasing to see.

bubbles
I'm not sure how much it helps. It had a foam on top until I took out the floating puck and the puck out of the skimmer. I think it does clear the water some but whether from it I'm not sure
