Hasbro Gaming Clue Game

This is a great game for kids and adults. It teaches one to use the process of elimination to draw logical conclusions. My granddaughter loves this game. She is twelve years old.

1. The game came in a sturdy box. It was packaged well for transport and the gameboard is very sturdy and heavy enough it lies completely flat and stable when opened. Rare these days.2. The tokens, cards, and dice nice quality and should last with a lot of use.3. The rule of play is much simpler than classic clue had while kids growing up (still have that game) but wanted a new one for grandkids.-comes with "clue cards" where people have to put card down in front of them for all to see or some such action that is a free show of cards which takes out a big chunk of difficulty. Since for young grandkids who have never played and who are not the crazy competitive family my children, my mother and myself were, I'll survive...for now. Not going to take it easy on them forever and they don't have to be used.-has 2 dice to roll each turn. Original had 1 if I'm remembering correctly and all I see in that box. Again, will deal with it because can take 1 away when get better at play. Both die have the magnifying glass emblem on 1 square that allows for picking a clue card and if roll 2, then can pick up 2 clue cards. But if decide not using them, the magnifying glass can count as a 1.**only reason taking time to write this review is that I was totally in awe at the amazing quality of this game for such a low price. Higher priced games don't have as good of quality. Great buy if want a gentler game. Great buy if a merciless grandma who plays to compete and win since the rules and cards that make this game easier don't have to be used to play.

My children and I always look for new family games. I didnt want some silent murder mystery game but something family friendly and along those lines. This game was easy for my kids to explain to me, which was nice not needing to read the instructions to THEM. We can sit and play this game for multiple rounds. Its 6 players and were a family of 5. The mystery is always different and anyone has a chance at winning. A worry of mine was that it would always be the same, im happy it isnt. This game is entertaining and doesnt get boring quickly. Im really happy with this purchase.

Clue is a nostalgic game for many parents, and that's exactly why we gifted this basic, yet classic game to our kids a couple Christmases ago. They never seem to tire of figuring out the "who done it," and we often play two to three times in one sitting. The only caveat with this game is getting younger kids to accurately respond with the right cards when another player makes a guess. We simply have to ask them a second time to make sure they looked at all their cards to respond correctly when another player makes a guess. Overall, it's a great game to gift for a family game night.

I absolutely loved playing Clue as an 80's kid, so when my daughter mentioned that she plays it at school during inside recess I immediately bought this. While I miss the original "retro" version this updated one is nice as well. My kids really enjoy playing it and it's fun for our whole family--even though that sounds like a cheesy line from a commercial, it's true! The one and only reason that I have dinged my review to 4/5 stars is because of the quality of the actual board. It is a bit thin and flimsy and the way it folds into quarters, I can tell it will wear down fast, unfortunately. It is nowhere near as thick and sturdy as the typical boards of the boardgames that fold in half rather in quarters. I get that the manufacturers are probably trying to make the boardgame more compact and easy to store in a smaller, square box rather than the typical bigger rectangular boxes, but I'd rather have the longevity of the better made boards over perhaps slightly better storage. I'm already thinking that in the near future I'll have to tape up this newer version flimsy board with clear packing tape when it starts falling apart.

Everyone loves Clue! We've had this game for years and still play it

My favorite board game! Everything was in the box, box was undamaged, basic Clue game. I like that there are 9 new cards that you can roll with the magnifying glass icon on the dice. Adds a little extra fun to the classic game. I don't really care if Mrs. White is gone, but it would have been fun to give all the characters a facelift at the same time, instead of simply replacing one. But that's a matter of opinion and doesn't have anything to do with the game itself. My only real negative about the game, is that the player pieces are no longer little characters, but basic boring shape pieces. You'll just choose a favorite color instead of choosing an actual character and really getting into it! Sad.
