Hasbro Gaming Clue Game

This was a nostagic purchase for game nite, the look of the board and cards were different but the spirit of the game was still there for us 70's players

The Hasbro Gaming Clue Game is an absolute classic that never gets old! I bought it for family game night, and it quickly became everyone’s favorite. The mix of mystery, logic, and friendly competition makes it so much fun every time we play. The game pieces and cards are well-made, and the artwork on the board adds a nice nostalgic touch. It’s easy to learn for new players but still challenging enough to stay interesting, even after many rounds. I love how it gets everyone thinking and interacting — it’s the perfect screen-free activity for both kids and adults. We especially enjoy trying to outsmart each other and make our best “detective” guesses. Whether you’re a longtime fan or introducing it to a new generation, Clue is a must-have for every game collection.

1. The game came in a sturdy box. It was packaged well for transport and the gameboard is very sturdy and heavy enough it lies completely flat and stable when opened. Rare these days. 2. The tokens, cards, and dice nice quality and should last with a lot of use. 3. The rule of play is much simpler than classic clue had while kids growing up (still have that game) but wanted a new one for grandkids. -comes with "clue cards" where people have to put card down in front of them for all to see or some such action that is a free show of cards which takes out a big chunk of difficulty. Since for young grandkids who have never played and who are not the crazy competitive family my children, my mother and myself were, I'll survive...for now. Not going to take it easy on them forever and they don't have to be used. -has 2 dice to roll each turn. Original had 1 if I'm remembering correctly and all I see in that box. Again, will deal with it because can take 1 away when get better at play. Both die have the magnifying glass emblem on 1 square that allows for picking a clue card and if roll 2, then can pick up 2 clue cards. But if decide not using them, the magnifying glass can count as a 1. **only reason taking time to write this review is that I was totally in awe at the amazing quality of this game for such a low price. Higher priced games don't have as good of quality. Great buy if want a gentler game. Great buy if a merciless grandma who plays to compete and win since the rules and cards that make this game easier don't have to be used to play.

Clue is a nostalgic game for many parents, and that's exactly why we gifted this basic, yet classic game to our kids a couple Christmases ago. They never seem to tire of figuring out the "who done it," and we often play two to three times in one sitting. The only caveat with this game is getting younger kids to accurately respond with the right cards when another player makes a guess. We simply have to ask them a second time to make sure they looked at all their cards to respond correctly when another player makes a guess. Overall, it's a great game to gift for a family game night.

Classic game which I really enjoy. Poor packaging ... shipped in poly bag. Box was badly damaged which is the reason for 4 stars. Glad I didn't purchase it for a gift!

My children and I always look for new family games. I didnt want some silent murder mystery game but something family friendly and along those lines. This game was easy for my kids to explain to me, which was nice not needing to read the instructions to THEM. We can sit and play this game for multiple rounds. Its 6 players and were a family of 5. The mystery is always different and anyone has a chance at winning. A worry of mine was that it would always be the same, im happy it isnt. This game is entertaining and doesnt get boring quickly. Im really happy with this purchase.

This is a great game for kids and adults. It teaches one to use the process of elimination to draw logical conclusions. My granddaughter loves this game. She is twelve years old.

I remember playing Clue as a kid, and it was pretty fun even though we were almost certainly playing it wrong. Now, picking up a copy for just a few dollars, this is a blast to play with my children. Most of the familiar characters are there: Col Mustard, Prof Plumb... Mrs. White is missing, but there are some new faces as well. Yes, the theme is solving a murder mystery, but it's still very family friendly. The outcome is selected randomly, but that doesn't make it any less fun when one of the people playing the game turns out to be guilty. :-) If you are currently Clueless, I highly recommend picking up this game. Even in the age of modern board game design, this is still good for many hours of fun.

Absolutely love this game. My two children 12 and 10 couldn't wait to play it and since I purchased it for Xmas it has been played every day for about 2hours if not more. Well and truly addicted we all love this as a family gives us bonding time.

The package was a little bit damaged especially the corners. And there was a problem packaging I guess, everything was up to count however it’s one of two things either i got a wrong board or a wrong card cuz instead of a “hall” card i got a “bathroom” card which doesn’t match with the board.
