Fanciful Faces Coloring Book (Creative Haven) Paperback – August 20, 2014

This book is a lot of fun and great for relaxing. The pictures in this book are detailed and beautiful, and I enjoy the different patterns and scenes set up with the faces. Some of the pictures are not as detailed as others, but that's ok because it helps to give the book diversity. I've colored one page in it so far, and I've started a second. What I like most about this book is that the pictures are one sided and perforated, so if you would like to tear one out and hang it up, you don't have to decide which picture to show. The paper quality is nice and crisp. I've been using colored pencil, and when I press down on the paper to make darker shades the paper does not sink in, which I like. It is worth the price. This probably would not be a good book for little kids, but young teenagers or preteens would be ok, and it would help any young artist to practice coloring techniques like combinations, toning and shading and how to work with details. I would definitely recommend this book for any one who loves to color likes fanciful pictures.

I absolutely love every picture in this book. I still have the book and I have used it every year. The details in the pictures is excellent.

I really like this coloring book. I recently started in on the adult coloring craze and an thoroughly hooked! I believe this is my fourth Coloring book and at the moment, my favorite!I love the designs. I had been coloring a lot of animals and Was getting a tiny bit bored. I love coloring the faces of the women.I like the paper it's printed on and it's perforated in case you want to rip it out. I usually do after coloring because my daughter's hangs them up. Until then I slip a piece of paper or cardboard between pages just in case it the markers or pens bleed through. Better safe than sorry!This product was a personal purchase for myself at the normal retail price. I am reviewing it because I want to share my experience with other potential customers.

I have a pretty good number of coloring books at this point but this is the 1st one with faces...which is a whole new challenge for me. The images are gorgeous. The faces are either full or half faces surrounded by other fanciful images such as leaves, wings, flowers, stars, etc. Unlike most of my coloring books these images are not too intricate, so if you color like me, you'll be able to get through the different pages fairly quickly. Intricate images can take me up to a week to complete...these images only take a few days.A great addition to my every growing adult coloring book collection!

This is my third coloring book I have ordered for myself, I love all 3 of them! I thought one of the others was my favorite but after receiving this one I don't think I like one more than the other. The faces are so beautifully drawn I have a difficult time deciding which page to color. I love that the pages are perforated because I prefer to color the pages on a clipboard that way if anything bleeds through it doesn't get on other pages and its easier to color. The paper is a bright white, colored pencils go on smoothly. I use BIC permanent markers and sharpies, they both bleed through. I highly recommend this coloring book to anyone who loves nature, beautiful faces or coloring.

I received this June 20, 2015. I am excited to try this new hobby as my new stress relief! I am stay at home mom and wife. This is something new to me. It's paperback , copyrght2014. The type of paper is okay and you can detach the page, I have in mind after done coloring thinking to place it in a frame. The designs are really amazing, really fancy! the title itself! fanciful faces, creative thinking, creative ideas. I'm still waiting for the colored pencils to be delivered soon. I feel amazed how the artist did all these creative imagination. Two thumbs up to the artist! Thank you.

So unique! I bought this coloring book for myself but my daughter loved it so much that she has copied some of the pages and colored them. I usually remove my pages from my coloring books and print them on heavier paper and just in case I make a mistake or don't like my color choices. I have a lot of adult coloring books but by far this is one of my favorites. Even though each page features a "fancy face", or several, the settings make each page unique and fun to color. I would definitely purchase again and probably will since my daughter loves it as much as I do!

I really like the quality of Creative Haven coloring books, as they all are made of heavy paper, are only printed on one side, and most are perforated. I use card stock paper to make copies which I color, saving the originals. That way my daughters and I never argue about who gets to color which picture! That being said, this particular coloring book isn't one of my favorites. Many of the pictures look very similar, and the faces also look alike. I do like the artwork, I just wish there was more variety within the book.
