Kohler 597-2MB Simplice Pull Down Kitchen Faucet, 3-Spray Faucet, Kitchen Sink Faucet with Pull Down Sprayer, Vibrant Brushed Moderne Brass

I purchased this because I installed Granite Counter Tops into my kitchen. I went with this one because it could be installed with a single hole in the counter. A lot of other types require two or more to fully connect. The faucet is built well and the water controls are smooth as can be. I intentionally skipped over the models that had the "automated" functions built into them. I've known many people who have had those kind and after the novelty wears off they never use it. So I saved myself the extra bucks and went with this. There are three key features I love about this faucet: 1. The magnetic spray head. Other faucets I've had have always relied on gravity from the weight on the hose of the sprayer to hold it in place. In some cases that works but it's never a solid fit. Since there are magnets in the faucet head it connects to the fixture really well. It will click right into place. 2. The jet sprayer. Other faucets that I've owned have only had a full spray on it. The problem with this in most cases is that it's not a focused stream so it doesn't do much in regards to cleaning off the dishes. It works well for rinsing but that's about it. The jet sprayer creates a clean line of individual jets that do a good job and getting stuff off the dishes without scrubbing. Case in point, last night we made something in our Crockpot and there is always food caked onto the side. The water jet function took the majority of the cleaning work out of this process. 3. Pivot connector on the spray head. Conventional faucets have a hose that connects directly to the spray head. This is fine in most cases but if you need to use the sprayer in a different angle then straight it causes a problem. The pivot on this makes it a lot easier to go through dishes and to rinse out the sink when the job is done. As a mention. There is a button on the spray head that stops the flow completely. This allows you to stop the water flow to move the nozzle to a pot of sorts and fill it up. I use this every once and a while since I don't use large stock pots very often. The install was real easy. It comes with the "3 hole base" if you have existing drill hols in the counter. I'd recommend this to anybody who wants a clean look in their kitchen.

This faucet is the best ever! I've had it for about six weeks and couldn't be happier. The Vibrant Stainless Steel finish matches my satin-finished stainless steel sink perfectly, and the faucet is a joy to use... smooth swivel, and three buttons on pull-down head make it very easy to use one-handed. I hear positive comments on this faucet from anyone visiting who uses it. The larger Simplice faucet is an inch higher and extends an inch further into the sink, but this 'secondary' faucet fits the scale of my kitchen well.

I read a lot of reviews before ordering this faucet. I usually tend to buy what's on sale, and this wasn't. It is just a smidge shorter (maybe 1") than a full-size faucet, which suits me fine. (I have a full-sized 36" sink, but a small kitchen). I ordered the "vibrant stainless" and am happy it doesn't show water spots. My husband installed it and, at my request, put the control lever squarely in the Front, (which necessitated a simple switch of the hot/cold hoses underneath). I love it there! When you're hands are wet you can easily bump it "off" with the top of your wrist. The front and center position also makes it easier for children to operate, using their "Left=Hot", "Right=Cold" training. (Makes it easier for us old-school adults, too!) Also, I Love Love LOVE the spray pattern and increased pressure! I am so impressed that it made that much of a difference from my old, very similar fixture. It maintains whichever pattern you choose, even when you turn off the faucet. The pull-down part is easy to operate and returns to its position without much effort. We intentionally left off the base plate and like it just fine. We've used it for over a month and can't find anything about it that we don't like.

I purchased the lower-rise version of this faucet, and was very pleased that I didn't save a few bucks by buying the taller version. This faucet has plenty of height for normal use. I liked the suggestion I found in the reviews about mounting it with the handle in front — no confusion about which direction is hot & cold. Reversing the water lines underneath was no problem. The fan spray pattern was different from what I'd been used to, but it works well. Water pressure isn't as strong as I'd like, and the extra volume button doesn't make a huge difference in output, but it's fine for the price. Finish is spot resistant, so it looks good and it easy to clean. Would recommend.

We had both a Delta and this Kohler faucets - decided to keep and install the Kohler - so glad we did! There were only a few parts (Delta had far more) and the instructions were pretty clear. The hardest part was taking out the old faucet. My husband had the new Kohler in place in 30 minutes or less. One note: It appeared that the weight for the sprayer had not been included so we used the one from our old faucet. When I went to dispose of the box I realized it was heavier than expected and found the weight under the inside packaging! Our thoughts for now - we love this Kohler faucet!

I particularly like the features: 1) The spray is a blade that nicely gets food off of plates (your counter sometimes get a little wet). 2) There is a power button that when held increases the flow - great for filling coffee pot etc. Installation was easy and the instructions were well done. No real negatives although there are clearly less expensive faucets. Still, I think the value was good.

I hate this faucet. We've had it for over 6 months and the more I use it, the more I hate it. You can't control the temperature because the handle is too small. You can't use it without getting soaked. And the counter gets soaked. And if the dog is walking by, he gets soaked! It may be so unusable because we have a normal sink. I consider this one of the worst purchases ever made. The item is well made. Very nice finish and construction. Too bad it's unusable.

GET READY FOR COMPLIMENTS! We picked this because of its functionality but in addition, this is a gorgeous product. Makes an incredible statement visually. In addition, it is perfectly fitted and very easy to install with crystal-clear instructions. In 10 minutes it was installed and my home boss was wondering "why did we wait so long to upgrade?". Tells you something. And after a week now, she says this faucet stays cleaner as well...water runs off it and she wipes it clean easily. Nice.

Very well packaged and arrived in perfect shape. Love the faucet - paired with a Kraus undermount sink - they look great together. No performance issues so far.

Great look with quartz countertop and apron sink. Excellent quality and very functional. Good value. March 4, 2010. We have had the Simplex Kitchen Faucet installed and used daily for 18 months now. Working perfectly. Lots of compliments from friends and family. Looks fantastic on our white quartz countertop and with white apron sink.

Arrived much sooner than anticipated. Had been shopping around at stores looking for something that felt like it would last, not cheap & plastic. Really felt good about this particular one and thought we would check on line to see if it was available this way and what the price diffrence might be....it was great. It works exactly as they said it would, and feels like you have something you can use without fear of it breaking. Love this one and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for this style of faucet!

The faucet has the perfect proportion, design is artistically pleasing to the eye, yet every detail has been perfectly thought out from the pause button to the way the spray works, however it still amazes me at how smooth it rotates from side to side and how the surface never gets finger prints at all,it's a perfect replacement faucet, it comes with the cover plate too. I think I would have preferred the braided hose out of stainless steel but the nylon appears to be tough so far.
