About the Author Born in Winnipeg, Canada, Carol Novis is a journalist and editor who has worked for newspapers and magazines in Canada, the US, South Africa and Israel. Now living in Israel, she writes fiction, including the children's book "The Adventures of Mary Fairy," and like her heroine Ellie, enjoys baking.
