Fixed Cup Removal Bottom Bracket
I used the 36mm spanner to remove the drive-side fixed cup on my 30 year old MTB bottom bracket. Videos suggested this can be a nightmare job, but despite the amount of time it had been on the bike it was easy. I left the cogs on the bike to help keep the spanner in place. The spanner is long enough to hit it with a hammer without hitting the cogs. Some penetrating oil and gentle tapping finished the removal.I have no complaints about the quality or finish of the spanner, it's robust and useful and cheap, the rough side was barely noticeable. I'd recommend this for fixed cup removal over the proper tool that is currently double the cost and is only useful for that one job.

Low cost Headset spanner. Poorly manufactured
The spanner is made from 4mm plate steel. It has been stamped / guillotined from sheet metal.The finish is very poor. The underside of the spanner where the stamping process is finished still has a knife edge burr nearly all the way around the spanner base. If you use spanners finished like this on tight nuts, without using gloves you risk cutting your hands.I believe this is unacceptable as a tool.It should have been deburred.The internal spanner faces are not finished either. They are all rough faced from the stamping process.If you use the spanner on a nicely polished nut or an aluminium headset nut it will become marked or damaged.The spanner is relatively low cost and if you were desperate to tighten a headset nut it would do the job, but it is impossible to recommend such a poorly made tool.If your budget allows it, just buy a better tool.
