I have read every review of every mattifier on the market. Basically; absolutely nothing is going to keep me shine free for the entire day (I live in Florida and believe you me, I know sweaty hot days). I also end up breaking out after I've used Mac and Peter Roth mattifing products. Some of the products are crazy expensive and I've even read articles on using Milk of Magnesia that has been thinned down with some water (leaves white salty streaks on your skin). I like this product! It works on me for longer than afew hours without breaking me out. Its not overly expensive and you get a nice size jar that you can actually stick your finger in and get every last bit of the product out. Bioelements does work for me- I realize everyone had different skin types so that it may not be the perfect product for everyone. But I no longer need to find a mattifier that works for me; this one is it!

If you want an honest review--- here it is. Okay, so I have very oily skin to the point that about 5 minutes after washing my face, I can see oil seeping out of my pores. I'm 25, so as you can imagine, I have tried quite a few products in my day to try to at least decrease oil production even a little. After reading reviews and saying, f--- it, I bought this product... and I'm fairly pleased. By all means, it's no miracle cure, but I've come to the conclusion that there is no such thing. If you're looking for an end-all to moderately or very oily skin, then I recommend that you go to your nearest place of worship and attempt to sell your soul to the devil. After about two weeks of use, I've found that the amount of shine and oil on my face has decreased. Not gone by all means, but noticeably less. Feels pretty soft too, but I use a small amount of moisturizer with it. As for the medicinal smell that was mentioned by others, I dont mind it. Smells herbacious and like it's "working". I dont know haha. Overall I'm pleased with this product, recommend it to others, and am willing to try the other ones by this line such as the decongestant cleanser.

I'm a 22 year old female, and I've battled with oily skin ever since puberty - and it was not just my T-zone. I've tried blotting sheets, drinking tons of water, healthy diet, and of course, countless products. My skin was is so oily that even after I wash my face and apply makeup, the shine is already coming through. I am amazed by how well this product has improved my oiliness right away, and even throughout the whole day it has remained matte without ANY blotting sheets and only applying powder once in the morning! Not to mention it has a nice light scent.The best part about this product is you really only need a small dab on your finger for your whole face. Although it's a fairly small container, I can see this lasting quite a long time. For the confidence and the way it makes my face feel, it's definitely worth the price. Highly recommended for anyone who's oiliness affects their daily lives! A++++++!

sometimes it seems to control my oily face, but most of the time I still have a very greasy forehead by mid afternoon. Not sure if it is just me or the product. Seemed to work better for me when I had first started using it. I have been using it for around 9 months now and am not as impressed as I was in the beginning.

I love this product more than words can say. I've changed from using blotting sheets every hour to using them every 3 or 4. I'll use a napkin to dab my forehead or nose within that 3-4 hour window or apply a little powder but no full blotting is needed. I apply the mattifier BEFORE my moisturizer then apply a little more on my t-zone AFTER my moisturizer. Not a lot of product is needed and it doesn't make your skin feel dry at all. It's amazing and I'm determined to never be out of stock. It's definitely pricey but when I think of all the money I've already wasted on products that didn't work its a bargain in the long run. I was disappointed with this product. I have very oily skin and have tried many things to keep it under control. I thought the product would work well based on all of the great reviews for it, but, in just about 20 minutes after applying, my face was shiny and oily. Would not recommend.

I'm on my second jar of this. The first lasted over a year for me; no complaints there! But there is a caveat to that. On its own, Bioelements Oil Control Mattifier isn't enough to control my skin's oil production. I'm super-oily, with oil showing on my forehead and nose ten minutes after I wash my face. My skin has been this way since my early teens; I'm now in my fifties. It's really a curse. But, mixing this mattifier with milk of magnesia works really well for me. I use a dab of equal size of each in the palm of my hand, mix it up with a cotton swab and then dab it on my oily areas. The m-o-m soaks up oil really well, and the mattifier helps with that and makes the mix colorless and easy to blend into the skin, unlike straight milk of magnesia. Of course, my oiliness breaks through after a few hours, but I use my blotting paper, re-powder, and I'm good to go for several more hours. This mattifier is a keeper!

Ugh, I can't stand buying yet another skin care item, only to be disappointed! I should have paid more attention to the less than favorable reviews. This did not work for me. I have VERY OILY skin. Not at first, after cleansing and applying makeup, but after 3 hours, my face starts to shine.

Doesn't really stop oil for long. Maybe 2 hours max
