If I had this when I took history class, I probably would have paid more attention!
I started reading this around the age of fifteen maybe on her website but as I grew older and began to understand the storyline to its full meaning it only became better! Before all I could do was admire the artistic aspect of Tracy's Lackadaisy but now I purchased the comic and appreciate the whole entirety of it. And this is coming from me when I have never been the biggest fan of cats and grew up being terrified by them. I find this comic utterly fascinating and beautiful to stare at (excuse my creepiness) for I have a deep love for technique and artwork and drawings. The story is so impressive, I just feel Tracy is so talented and created a world from our world but was still able to throw factors into it that made it the perfect historical fiction read so that the parts that are also true are very far away from boring.

The Amber Diary Review
What can I say about Lackadaisy? It's... *sigh* ... It's the best comic I've ever read in my entire life. I mean. I just can't find anything. Not a SINGLE thing I disliked about it. I mean, my God, I just can't do it. The humor is perfect, the premise is perfect, the writing is perfect, the illustrations are flawless... If I was asked to choose a book I'd want to be buried with, it'd be this one. I wait every day in hopes that Tracy will give us Volume 2 and bless us with this blissful wonder once again. I'll be damned if I won't have every single volume of this comic series on my bookshelf. Keep doing what you're doing Tracy. And God bless you. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go cry out tears of joy.

Spectacular
Thoroughly magnificent. The characters are very solid and engaging and the plot is original and well-conceived. The art is paramount without being so complex as to be distracting. The best work of anthropomorphic fiction I've read since "Bushy Boys". This is a work of genius and deserves to be lauded as such.

This woman is awesome
One of the greatest comic artists out there. No doubt. This woman is awesome. The concept, the drawings, the characters, the expressions, the coherence... Rock-solid consistency among colours, plot, ambient... All that wonderful art-déco, great documentation. It's really the portrait of an era. One could think "yet another cat story?", but definitely we need this cat story. This is a masterwork. The text is terrific as well; not being English my mother language, I actually find reading a bit difficult sometimes and I can't enjoy all of it, but even in that case I get the flavour and it's definitely worth the effort. As for the edition, it's OK, but I'd really love to read this in a bigger format. That's the only drawback; it's a bit too small for such a careful drawing and lighting. These scenes deserve to be enjoyed a lot more.As a summary, this novel is one of my top comic books, and I'd willingly pay much more bucks to get a bigger edition (not to mention a new volume).

Very high-quality
The paper is thick and feels luxuriously soft to the touch. Book came in good order, and the print quality is quite high. And obviously the comic itself is top-tier. Proud to own this.

Graet story, great art, great author.
I was lucky enough to stumble upon this web comic back in March of 2013 and I was immediately hooked. I soon found out that printed versions of Volume 1 were out, so the first chance I got, I got my mitts on a copy. The art is just as beautiful in print form and there is even a section in the back, containing color art, tutorials, and a historical glossary to help the reader better understand what went on during Prohibition era America. If my opinion is worth anything, Ms. Butler is definitely one of the best visual artists of the 21st century. I highly suggest getting into this comic. You won't be disappointed!

Great Story, Beautiful illustrations
Tracy Butler is a wonderful artist with a creative mind and a fresh look at the world around her. I absolutely love her work on her tumblr page. That is also the very best format to view the story in (including the newer work as volume one only covers earlier parts of the story although it's gone way past that now). The binding of the page was good and hasn't fallen apart yet as I've seen other reviewers complain. The only complaint I have about the book is that the artwork and the dialogue is so small. You can hardly read the words and you can't enjoy the pictures as much as you want because the comic format keeps parts of the story on the same page. I hope for volume two Ms. Butler is allowed to put less pictures on the page and is able to make them more viewable (I know it would make the book bigger and maybe more expensive, but that artwork MUST be seen!). This would also make it senior friendly. So buy this book to support the author but enjoy the wonderful creation of Lackadaisy online, it is really the best place to view it!

Amo a Lackadaisy
En serio, mi hermana y yo hemos sido sus fieles seguidoras desde que publicaba sus trabajos en Deviantart. No puedo esperar el momento en el volumen dos esté disponible.
