This is a really nice dial indicator. It's definitely a cut above the Harbor Freight one I own, yet it costs about the same. It is relatively sturdy and seems accurate (I don't have anything precise enough to actually test to 0.001").I use it to set up power tools, including my jointer, table saw, and planer. It's really a great buy. Can't say enough how pleased I am with it.

It's barely used, works perfect, well packaged, so satisfied with the product, 100% RECOMMENDED this seller, some skratches in th back but in front looks new, works as described

It's cheap. But I didn't need anything fancy or precise. I just need to level the bed on my 3D printer quickly.I printed up a bracket to snap it onto my gantry and it works like a charm.Good product! Especially for the price!

I purchased this dial indicator to measure and fix the tool run-out on a small cnc router. I secured the indicator to the cnc table with a long 1/4" bolt through the back mounting hole. I was able to adjust the height with a couple of nuts and a lock washer. The indicator worked well and appears to be very accurate. At least it is repeatable and agrees with my digital calipers. I did not have any problem, such as the dial sticking.

I found this inexpensive dial indicator to be accurate and sturdy.

Good smooth action to the indicators. Used them in my shop made mill tramming tool. The indicators repeat very well & are READABLE, which to a guy my age needs help. Thanks Taylor Tools. Updating my earlier review. These all have a fatal flaw that fails with light/careful use. DO NOT BUY THESE!These are excellent out of the box and inexpensive but fail easily as shown by the graveyard photo.I bought these for college students to use in labs. True they are students but the instruments are being used correctly and GINGERLY by the students supervised by teaching assistants. Today, one of them failed out of the box in less than an hour when being demonstrated by the nuclear engineer instructor type very carefully.It doesn't matter how careful the student is. It doesn't matter if the instructor is using one reserved just for his use. ALL FAILED!ALL fail at the same point internally. There is a small threaded pin that is inserted into the rising stem. It ALWAYS shears at the thread inside the body of the pin. Naturally, it is impossible to get the small broken off threaded part out again to repair.This pin is very under-engineered resulting in a very fragile tool. Everything else about the tool is very nice and when it is working it works well. Very easy to read and accurate.However, it ALWAYS fails at the same point based on 26 of 26 sample size here.
