Good book to add to my bridge collection

This is a good book for the bridge player. It covers many of the current conventions that are played at the bridge tables. At the beginning of each chapter, the convention is explained. The chapter goes on to describe the following bids that should be made by opener and responder. Lots of practice hands are shown and explained, indicating when the convention should be used and when it shouldn't.

The sequence of books gives a great understanding of the entire bidding, play, and scoring for any level of play. I would say these books brought a high level of play even when are one of the top three player in your club.

As an intermediate player, I found this book to be very helpful in learning some of the current conventions that are commonly played at the bridge tables. The convention is clearly explained at the beginning of each chapter, and then there are pages showing the following bids that should be made by opener and responder. There are many practice hands to show when the convention should be used as well as when it should not. Very instructive and easy to follow.

This series of books is ideal for the bridge player who is really trying to get better and get more consistency in their play. I would recommend all the books in this series.This seller shipped quickly and the books were in pristine condition.

I was hoping this would cover conventions that do seem to be commonly used, but there are some that are not in this book. There is another book of conventions, but I didn't want to purchase the whole series!! It's not a bad book by any stretch, it's just not as inclusive as I wanted.

This is a good book to complete the collection. Most bridge teachers in my area seem to be using Audry Grant's instruction materials and this is a good supplement.

This book covers a number of the more advanced conventions you need to move beyond an intermediate level of play. It is readable and clearly written
