So cute!
My 8yr old loves this. Needs abit of assistance on punching the holes through but the end result is super cute!Love that you're able to purchase refill packs.

Enjoyable but expensive
Our daughter aged 8 had this for Christmas. She has enjoyed making the bracelets with her friend and with me. She particularly enjoyed using the cutting machine. On the whole this is a very expensive toy which would be better priced at £20 not £35! Not worth the money.

Assistance required
This is a great product my 6yr old loves it she loves craft but will need help with this for a while as there are lots of steps but we will have fun. My only gripe is wish I had purchased extra sticks

Very fiddly, lots of steps
Difficult to use and cheaply made. it's not just necklaces and bracelets you can make. You also get smaller pieces to cut to use as nail art but the addecive doesn't stick very well and even though you can cut the bits quite thin, they still are too thick for a nail so we just chucked the addecive away as even if my daughter did use it, it wouldn't stick anyway. The problem is that it does not include very many "stix" to cut up, and after they are used up there isn't really anything else you can do with the kit. And the few available refill packs can be pricey and hard to find.Kids got bored pretty quickly as it’s not the most straightforward, Very disappointed. Also, as shown in the photos, it arrived in the original box that was heavily damaged. Instructions are also poorly written.

Quite complicated for young children to master.
This creative workshop comes with everything needed to make beads and produce items of jewellery for young children. The box includes 24 Stix rods in varying thicknesses with different pictures running through the middle. There is also a storage station which is a good way to display the rods, because you can instantly see which picture you are selecting. You have to place the relevant plastic frame into the cutting machine and put the Stix rod through it, then push the cutie Stix all the way in with the plastic rod. You select the Stix size by turning the tube at the front and then press down on the top button. A sliced piece of the Stix will drop out through the clear plastic tube on the base.Once sliced, you select the correct sized coring container and place it in through the door at the bottom of the coring machine either upright or lying flat, depending on where you want the threading hole to be. You then press down the top button and remove the coring container where you will find your completed bead.Once all of your beads are made, you place them onto the threading machine in the order you want them. You have to cut the elastic thread to the length you want before tying a plastic clasp on one end. You thread the other end through the threader before sliding it off and finishing with another clasp to complete your piece of jewellery. It doesn’t take too long to learn the process and it does produce really nice items, but it did require a lot of adult supervision to set it all up and work out how to do it all. The work involved made it much more fun than just threading pre-made beads. My 9-year-old granddaughter is very proud of her finished items and says she now wants to make a bracelet for all of her friends for Christmas. You can purchase a cutie Stix refill pack, which I have found at around the £10 mark, so it does require more expense to continue using this work station once the contents of the box have been used. These machines don’t require batteries though, so that is one less thing you have to think about paying out for.

Really creative
This arrives in a box that's very eye catching to a child. You get 24 stix which are like rubber 4 are large,14 medium and 6 mini ones. You also get 2 storage boxes that also you use for coring you get one for large beads and one for the smaller beads. You also get 2 cutting moulds. There is 2 spools of elastic thread in pink and purple. There is then the 3 mail parts the cutting tool the coring tool and the workshop bit where you thread the thread and it helps you create your idea. This is really easy to use but think before you cut how you want the beads to look as we didn't and would have preferred other ways .You get clasps that pop together and produce and good grip.Due to small parts anyone under 6 would need supervision and also the cutting unit does have a blade altho it would be really difficult to put your finger in its obviously a danger to be aware of as children always manage the impossible at times!!!This isn't a one off kit as you can buy refill packs for around 10 pound at a time if your child enjoys it alot.We had lots of fun designing and making our own bracelets and necklaces and as you have to do everything it's much more personal. Really recommend

Fun kit for young kids but quite expensive
I was quite impressed with this kit.... there is a lot going on with various parts which does indeed make it more of a workshop than your standard craft jewellery making kit.It looks well made but I haven't tried using it yet as waiting to see my niece who it is for.It comes with very detailed, clear instructions which I suggest an adult looks through first if it is for a fairly young child, as they will need help setting it up.The idea is fairly simple but does make it more detailed and hopefully more fun than just threading beads onto a necklace. It comes with small "stix" that have a pattern running through them, like a stick of rock! One gadget cuts the stick into slices and another makes a hole in the middle so it can be threaded onto a necklace or bracelet. There is a "display" unit that the stix can be stored on helping make it a workshop that can be set up.The stix do look quite fun... there are puppy and cat faces, so more interesting and better quality than just stringing plastic beads together.I believe you can buy further packs of the stix.I've given it 4 stars as I'm not sure it's worth the price, although given how expensive other childrens' toys are, maybe the price isn't too bad.
