Easy to install and looks great
Was so easy to install the cables and the lights and it looks great. Will be replacing halogen with LED so wish that was an option instead of having these halogen bulbs left over and the extra cost.

I purchased 2 sets to use on a 13' beam because I wanted more than 5 lights and to purchase each light individually is ridiculously expensive. I used all 10 lights and I love it! I followed the advice of others about how to replace the bulbs with LED equivalents to be used with a dimmer. I purchased an LED-compatible dimmer at Lowe's and I replaced 9 of the 10 fixtures with 4W LED's (Torchstar) and left one with the 20W halogen bulb. This provides 56 watts being used on the fixture and allows the dimmer to work properly. Installation was, for the most part, easy but if you've never replaced a fixture before, I would not recommend starting with this one. You have to get things level and measured off properly and doing this over a long span can be a little trying if you don't know what you are doing. The lights are adjustable to be pointed in any direction. I really liked the look of the turnbuckles provided but there are only 2 provided with each kit. The other 2 ends are just 1-piece stobs (which are shown in the picture). This is fine if you are going from a ceiling mount on one side to a wall mount on the other but I do not like the idea of using 2 different ends if you are going wall to wall or ceiling to ceiling. This, of course, is just a personal preference on looks. I used turnbuckles on all connections and am happy with the look.

so, so happy!! great value!
We are so happy with this kit. We were able to afford the cable lighting that my husband and I hoped to have "some day". Custom assemblies and other kits are so much more pricey. We bought 2 for our kitchen. After we removed the drop ceiling, we discovered a beam that can't be removed, so we kept the soffits. The cables run between them on either side of the beam. They cast unique light/shadows on the ceiling. In time, we hope we don't have the transformer issues that some people have. Initially, I was concerned that the 20 watt bulbs might not be bright enough. Now, I prefer them. If I want a lot of light for cleaning daylight is best, but we have bright light above the sink, the eat in area and the stove. Plus, we added cabinet lighting. They look great! Installation worked well. We had only 2 issues: 1) One kit didn't include the small allen (sp?) wrench, but we had it in the other. 2) 2 of the light assemblies didn't work. We swapped out a bulb in one, so think it might be the assembly. Maybe we can get them to work, but since we only used 8 lights we didn't spend a lot of time trouble-shooting.

did not work and no satisfied solution
transformer did not work and supplier wanted item all dismantled before new one sent and reinstalled when we only need one replacement part

These are tiny. The transformer doesn't support LED bulbs in them.
Update: Lousy customer service. The photos of the kits and the instructions show the ability to mount to the ceiling . However not enough parts are provided for ceiling mounting on both ends. The parts needed are like 50 bucks or more a pair which is a third of the price of the kit. Call the manufacturer and all they would do is refer me to one of their distributors who of course have no desire to give me any free parts. These cable lights are just about the only way I could light my kitchen which doesn't have a cavity in its ceiling in which to mount cans. The lights are tiny but they do look nice. Here are the problems:> The transformer needs at least 50 watts of draw to operate properly and, if you want to use more efficient/cooler/longer lasting LED bulbs (5 to 7.5 Watts) you either have to purchase and put more lights on the cable or you need to purchase the company's 60 Watt transformer which should allow you to use just four 7.5W bulbs.> While this kit is somewhat reasonably priced, all their parts and accessories are outrageously priced.> The run length the kit supports is 20 ft. which, in my case, is not quite enough. I plan on purchasing stainless steel cable and eye hooks separately to give me the length I need. Much cheaper than using the Tech Lighting products.
