Hayward CL200 In-line Automatic Chemical Feeder

The media could not be loaded. Got this to replace our 16 year old chlorinator that we had installed when we got the pool. We already had the filter and motor replaced a few years back they went out much earlier but the chlorinator we had which was the same exact one as this, lasted the whole time and lasted longer than anything in the filter system! So I can say it’s definitely a good purchase and it’s definitely worth paying the extra 50 bucks for the name brand! It’s works like a charm and clears up a 30,000 gal 9ft pool quickly and with ease! And that’s just with the chlorine tabs without any shock or any other chemical. I got it installed by a family friend that works for a pool store so that definitely saved me the headache of installing it myself or asking my husband to do it. But he did it super quick so I think it was a pretty easy install! Fit perfectly since we had the same exact model previously.

I got mixed answers on if i could use bromine slow dissolving 1inch tablets. I went ahead and tried and it worked great. My bromine levels are good. Easy to use. Time saver. Easy to adjust chemical level. I ordered the lid wrench but so far have not needed to use it. It wasn't expensive so I will keep it just in case.

Find that these need to be replaced about every 3 years. Plastic gets pitted. I tried an off brand to save money and I got 1 yr out of it. Back to the reliable Hayward products.

My old one finally cracked when opening my pool this past summer while trying to put the drain plug back in. That was my fault. Since this is an inline one I had to do something about it so I just ordered the exact replacement. Everything about it is the same. You just unscrew the old one and screw the new one back in and you're done. Just be careful putting the plugs back into these after winterizing. The plastic will crack if you over tighten the plug. All you have to do is put the plug in and hand tighten it and then maybe a slight quarter turn from a wrench and leave it alone. Start everything up and if you see no dripping you're good to go. Do it one small increment at a time or you will be replacing it yet again.
