Introduction to Security

Introduction to Security, Eighth Edition is a great introduction to the Security Industry if you wish to learn all of the basics. It's great if you wish to learn Security before actually investing in the industry because it will tell you enough that will lead you to either reading more or taking classes in college. The one thing I have to say is that it needs to be updated again. Security is always changing.

Introduction to security was the best book I have ever had the opportunity to read regarding security. This book was well written using simple words so that everyone could understand it., The book also covered all the topics the modern day security officers are faced with in today's world from cyber-crimes to terrorism. I bought this book to prepare for a major security certification. It is a well written and organized book. I look forward to applying all that I learn and passing the certification exam. Great information on security careers as well. I had an older edition and needed to see the updates. This is still the best primary book on security out there. It covers a lot of basis and sees security in a more modern way than is often perceived by the public.

Purchased this book online for my school, book is pretty informative pertaining to issues in the Private Security field. I recieved the correct book, it was on time, brande new the seller priced it well. Overall, no complaints about the item I recieved, the way it was packaged, and shipping.

Great Condition!

Arrived in a timely manner and in good condition. Used as part of an ASIS cert test. Much of the information is generic, so not too impressed with the cost of the book for the info presented.

Pretty Good

A little to bias towards America but a good introduction to security. I perferred Security Risk Management: Body of Knowledge by Talbot and Jakeman.
