Excellent flavor for the stew
The duo that make up James S A Corey did a fantastic job maintaining a firm hand on the narrative rudder for the Expanse. The novel would blow up into thousands of characters, but in the end they always focused on the intrepid crew of the Rocinante. This leads to the predicament of all POV authors: how to handle offscreen events without introducing one off characters? Enter the short story form. This collection does a fantastic job of fleshing out the backstory of individuals, providing single slices of insight that would have seemed out of place in one of the novels. An essential addition to the canon for fans.

Must read for Expanse fans.
Memory’s Legion, the collected short stories, is a satisfying addendum to the novels. Fans of the TV series will recognize some of the stories, and be surprised by the others. You may be inspired to read the books after reading this one. It’s a masterfully imaginative story, told convincingly.

Lovely collection of stories in The Expanse universe
Not much to say about this one: there were a couple of The Expanse short stories that weren't included during the TV series or were included but greatly shortened or modified for the TV format, so I wanted to complete my collection of the books (and the stories) by getting this. And it delivers nicely! It's a quick read, the stories themselves run the gamut across Earth, Mars, the belt, and the colonies (if a bit light on Mars, like the books and the TV show were as well). My favorite story was the final fate of Erich (Amos's partner in crime in Baltimore), but all of them have their charms. The Cortazar story was the weakest, obviously an attempt at a more philosophical science fiction story which doesn't quite land for a variety of reasons surprisingly not really connected to its unlikable "protagonist".If there's a weakness, it's that there are short out-of-character notes included after each story to put them into context (either IRL or within the narrative of the novels), and these short notes were TOO short, so short as to be kind of frustrating. I can't tell if that's me being greedy for more Expanse background, or a genuine miss caused by the notes apparently being hammered out over a single quick afternoon over a couple of beers. They do feel very slight to me.

Ends Less Loose
He slays his demon, does his penance, receives mercy. A new beginning for Filip. Like some other stories, this is The End?

Great Short Fiction Collection
Felt I needed to offset the 1-stars:* Memory's Legion as a _novella_ collection is pretty clearly stated in the description (words like "novella" and "short fiction"). I do agree that a lot of the confusion could have been avoided by added "Short" before "Story" in the title* The Sins of Our Fathers is available by itself on a different listing (https://www.amazon.com/Sins-Our-Fathers-Novella-Expanse-ebook/dp/B098NJM5G5)Now that's out of the way, I haven't read all of the Expanse novellas so it's great to have this anthology to cover it and to have it in one place. Now that the books are done and the series is complete (at least for now?), this collection was a great way to revisit the journey and the Expanse universe.

Captivating Sci/fi
Like the rest of the books in this series it is hard to put down once started. The action is fast paced and the details amazingly thought out.

True The Expanse fans must read
So happy that this collection is out. I had purchased all the 9 books and was so excited to see that I didn’t had to get the novellas individually . The Sins of Our Fathers really gives us some answers to the fate of a character after Leviathan Falls. I very much enjoyed reading the Author’s Note after every story. Helped understand the reason behind some of the events. A true The Expanse fan will enjoy this book series. Know that this is NOT The Expanse 9 novels, this is the collection of short stories (novellas) just like the ones they covered in the show (Season 6 covers Strange Dogs (the dogs or repair drones that fixed the bird and Xan). The short stories help understand some of the characters or the meaning behind the novels. Can’t wait for more The Expanse stories.

Amazingly well written, if it wasn’t for one thing.
The author used these medieval units of measurement, like mankind is still using the astrolabe for navigating the seas. He measures people in old unit like feet, distances in yards and whatnot.Sorry americans, but your medieval stuff is boring. Your government uses global units for five decades already. Grow up.

Beautiful hardcover containing all the short fiction of Expanse
Excellent hardcover copy of all the short fiction of the Expanse universe. No this does not include all NINE books and novellas! People leaving 1 star reviews complaining that this one book doesn't include all the books and short stories, need to learn to read the description of an item they buy before buying it... It's very clearly explained what is included with this hardcover (or ebook if you bought the ebook). I swear people are getting dumber and dumber as time goes on. At least they have good taste in books though haha

Nicely fills in some gaps.
Some great background stories that explains how and why some characters are the way they are. Also explains what happened to one of the characters - who? No spoilers here! Read and see!
