Perk up your ears.
I just started drinking this coffee. I use it for espresso cappuccinos, and boy is it (at least to me) great. I’ve learned that arabica by itself is just too weak for me. Plus the taste is weak and watery. This coffee however is a blend of arabica and robusta which contains more caffeine. Robusta is more dark, very intense and to some, bitter. Aiello coffee combines both arabica and (60a-40r split) robusta, which makes for a more rich flavourful, and has more of a full bodied taste. Coffees like wine. We each experience it differently. If you’re up for a new full, rich and of course a more caffeinated experience, I highly recommend giving it a try. Supply can be challenging, due to popularity. But when available I get it from no other place Amazon. The less hassle, the better the shopping experience.

Finely Ground For Espresso Only
Disregard the claim that this finely ground espresso blend is good for all brewing methods including drip coffee and French press. It may even be too fine for pour-over brewing. When used in an espresso maker or machine, however, it yields a robust shot with a full-bodied complexity. It comes in a vacuum-packed bag, and the grounds inside are not surprisingly compressed into an almost-solid brick. As to level of fineness, think powder rather than distinct grounds. If you bought this coffee mistakenly for a drip maker, the only way you'll avoid having the grounds spill over into your water tank is to fill a paper filter with the appropriate amount, fold over the top, and invert it into the coffee's basket or gold filter so that the folded portion is face down. You might be okay if you brew six cups or less. It's not ideal; however, you won't be able to use the coffee otherwise without gumming up the interior of your machine. The flavor and grind warrants five-stars for espresso. I deducted a star for the company's claim that this ground coffee can work in any brewing method.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Aiello Caffe Classic Italian Medium Roast Espresso 50/50 Arabica/Robusta
A fine grind this medium-roast espresso 50/50 Arabica/Robusta coffee blend is packaged in Italy. The fine grind means it is suitable for use in a moka pot or automatic espresso maker, pour-over cup or pot or even an automatic drip machine but French press pots are best to use with a coarse grind coffee. The coffee has a good aroma in the bag and the flavor is complex and bold but not muddy—smoky with a mildly bitter finish. To estimate shelf-life at the time of this review in August 2021 the Best Use Before date on the 8.8 ounce bag is 15 months in the future but dates will vary. Also, since ground coffee loses its flavor somewhat quickly storing it in an airtight container may be wise. Quite good.

Very fine powder!?
I have an automatic drip (old fashioned, think Mr Coffee) coffee maker and based on the other reviews that mention this gumming up the coffee maker and grounds flowing over into the water tank, I am hesitant to even try this. It's like a ground up powder. I've never tried such a fine grind before, but then again, I'm used to ground coffee for automatic drip. I went by the description that said this is good for all brewing methods, but now I'm not so sure. I don't want to junk up my coffee maker. The bag of coffee I received feels like a hard brick. I like that this is from Italy but I am going to do a little more homework to see how to best use this with my type of machine. There is nothing on the bag to indicate how much to use, etc so that's problematic. This is good through November 2023 so I have some time to figure it out.

Bold and well-balanced
This is a great-tasting coffee. It is smooth, bold and well-balanced, despite being a medium roast coffee. It is a little bitter but without much of the sharp acidity to it. The coffee ground itself is a super fine ground. I use a dip system and a little bit of the ground ends up in my coffee. Not too much. This comes packaged in vacuum sealed foil bag shaped like a brick. The coffee ground has an intense aroma out of the bag. Mine has a best before date of 27 months from now. Overall, I really enjoy this coffee. It is delicious and aromatic. Strong, bold and well balanced.

Finely Ground - Bold Flavor
My wife and I are thoroughly enjoying the bold flavor of Aiello Caffe Classic Italian Espresso. The taste is bold, with the fullness of flavor that we love first thing in the morning. Not bitter, but just right. It is a finely ground coffee, that is perfect for espresso makers, but can also be used to make pour-over coffee and French press. It could also be used in refillable K-cups, when you’re in a hurry. Although an Italian made coffee, the coffee is a blend of beans from around the world. I do need to point out that it comes in a vacuum packed block, which preserves the freshness and flavor during shipping. Hence, you’ll need to have an air tight container to keep the ground coffee after it’s opened. That being said, my wife and I recommend Aiello Caffe with confidence.
