How do you mount it? Are the holes pre-drilled in the fireplace?

There are no holes to drill. The blower sits all the way back under the fireplace. It was a relatively simple installation. I found videos on YouTube that provided helpful hints. I would add this fan works great and warms the room in just a short time. If you haven’t cleaned under your fireplace I would suggest you vacuum as much as you can so your initial startup doesn’t blow dust in your room.
