Really should say this is an American book!
I brought this book as I been worried about not knowing many skills. The best bit of the book was Section four - Money & Budgeting. I find it hard to know how much money I need to live on a month. This told me how to work it out. It’s nice that there is some black and white photos to compliment the text. Regrettably, some of the information is irrelevant. The main bit which isn't for me - being British is health insuranceI like the front cover is a very bright yellow.I would give this 4 out of 5 due to it not being British.

US-centric and dry
I should have read the reviews really: as others have said, it's written for American teens, and although it has plenty of generic information, there are several sections that aren't helpful due to the use of US-specific terms, such as different US road signs, health insurance, units such as Fahrenheit and cups (which exist in older UK books as well, to be fair, but everyone learns metric now). Aside from that, the writing style was very dry. I realise that not all teens want fun and silly books, especially when it covers serious topics, but some do, and my child is one of them. I am returning it and hoping to find a more light-hearted and UK-oriented book instead.
