Great value for the money!!
Really good quality for the price. Ease of install. Would recommend using a string with a weight on the end if installing in a barrel that only have the small 4 inch openings on the top. Great product for the money.

CHEAP !! GET WAHT YOU PAY FOR
THE SPIGOT HAS STRAIGHT THREADS ON IT AND WILL NOT TIGHTEN ON TO THE BULKHEAD THREADED PCS . ADD THE WHOLE ROLL OF THREAD TAPE TO SEAL UP

Nice movement
Use on rain barrels. Smooth motion and better than gate valves. Flow a little slow, but good enough for my use.

Tricky.
Tricky to get it to not leak. You will have to wrap tons of Teflon tape n find a few extra washers for your your hose that you attach to it not to leak. The thread lip is very shallow. most garden hoses are deeper n to help seal it that's where need for extra washers. After all that it seems like it will be a fixture that will be around for awhile. Just hope I done have to wrap threads again.

Poor workmanship
The threads for the bulkhead adapter and spigot are a poor, loose fit. To stop the adapter from leaking I had to install with 15 layers of teflon tape. Would not buy again.

Gasskets Leak Because They Are Too Soft & Distort When Tightened
These valves leak 3 or more drops a minute, which quickly adds up to gallons of water. This leaking is due to the gasket distorting when the retaining nut is tightened. The gaskets squeeze out from under and then curl around the clamping surfaces of the valve and nut. 2nd photo, showing the black gasket, shows this. I attempted to tighten snugly without over-tightening. However the flat securing area on the spigot side is comparatively small and not round (it is octagonal) and when tightened distorts the gasket. The compression surfaces also do not have a recess to capture the gasket, to keep the gasket in place and prevent the gasket from squeezing out and distorting. The spigot's compression surfaces (spigot and nut) are also the same size or smaller than the gasket, so when the gasket compresses and squeezes out from the clamping surfaces - it curl around the edges of these surfaces and leaks.I remedied the situation by replacing the gaskets that came with the valve with silicone gaskets and using nylon washers between the valve clamping surfaces and the gaskets (to spread compression more evenly over the gasket and reduce the locknut from imparting friction to the gaskets, thereby minimizing distortion of the gasket). Note also that the nylon washers are larger than the surface area of the valve's clamping surfaces, and this prevented the gaskets from squeezing out and wrapping around the clamping surfaces.
