The mystery and action is well developed. The suspense kept me engaged and flipping pages! The plot is very entertaining. Ok. Well I love dark Mafia romance I don't usually like reading duets. I think they could get the story in one book ,but still I really liked the beginning of the series so I will continue with the second book. I must say though as much as I enjoyed the characters most of them. Lol ,I don't like it when the female lead acts stupid. Like you know she's supposed to be a mafia daughter and next heir and yet sometimes she just acted dumb. N that just really irritated me. LOL. not that it's real but still. although all in all it was a good book and I'm looking forward to the second part.

In the very beginning it was a little confusing because you had a few characters coming at you and you are trying to keep track. But the author does a great job of tying it all together and giving you one Hell of a story. I read it in one night. I just couldn't put it down!

The suspense is so real, not to mention the attraction between Luce and Santino it was amazing i had 😢 in my eyes as he had to say goodbye to her... I hope he believes her when she told him the truth... I absolutely can't wait for the next book.... I hope their love story continues and Santino's new found status doesn't inflate he's ego and allow him to really love Luce

HOT TO THE MAX!!! OMG the main mafia guy is someone who ignores the word NO like it doesn't exist to him. Great plot. Didn't want this book to end.

I am soooooo not into BDSM, i still dont understand how others like it. But the story is great and kept me going while skipping past the stuff that was just too much. The love story is the ultra-romeo and juliet. I'm going to read the next book...

This book was a fun, very sexy read. All the characters were well written. I loved all the twists and turns, and can't wait for the 2nd book.

Beautifully written. I couldn’t put this story down. Our FLC will do anything for her family even sacrifice herself. What she didn’t realize in her shelter little city was what she was getting into. The chess pieces are set in the board. The players will make themselves known but who will claim the queen to take the King. Our MLC is all muscle but brute force but can he learn to open his hurt up. When they first meet they don’t realize they are enemies but find attraction at first sight. Could it be love? It’s a must read and I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds.

This is a fantastic read love Santino and Luce and really looking forward to starting their concluding story. I love mafia books and this is a great read so come in download it xx

Mini spoiler!..........I found this a good read! The world building, the characters in the story line we’re all fairly well done and very interesting and kept my attention - but I love a romance and because the book was so good I am looking forward to book 2. Some of the emotional romance was great but when it got to between the sheets, it was all rear stuff…..no actual Hymans were busted in the telling of the story! LOL I don’t mind the odd mention of backdoor action but it’s not my thing and when all the action is back door I found myself skipping most of the ‘hot’ scenes. Lots of great descriptions of other acts but the big love connection never happens. Let’s see what happens in the next book! And yes, despite the lack of the romance I enjoy the rest of the book was definitely of note and I would recommend it.

Awesome read very exciting great characters and great love scenes a good story and a good cliffhanger to end one
