O
I bought these to make bed rails for my son’s crib that could be converted to a full size bed. We didn’t buy the conversion kit when we bought the crib and online all I could find was a universal kit that was basically a metal bed frame so I made my own with these. They were super easy to use. I bought some lumber and had my husband cut them to length and then I just screwed them together, used these brackets on the headboard and footboard to line up with the sideboards that I made and painted and very easily made a bed frame with very little $ spent or time. Definitely recommend these brackets if you are handy or like to DIY and are considering making your own bed frame or converting a crib into a bed.

Pieces fit together nicely, but...
I used these brackets to make a bed skirt for my wife. They slide together easily and tightly, but be careful when drilling the mounting holes (always pre-drill!) because the plates aren't square with each other. I ended up clamping the two pieces to each other (as pictured) and drawing a line around the perimeter of the plates before separating them to drill the holes for the screws. Another note, I mounted the brackets to 3/4" thick stock making the included screw too long, so I just purchased slightly shorter ones from the hardware store.

Work great but make sure you use a small board
The brackets worked great. However, I used 8-inch boards (originally was going to use 4-inch boards) for the side rails and these were way too small to keep the frame stable. I ended up having to use additional brackets to secure the bed frame so it would not move around. 4-inch boards would probably be ok as the bracket size would cover most of the height of the board. Just make sure the size of the bracket you are purchasing will cover most of the height of the board you are going to use as side rails.

Nice hardware & finish. Fits together & comes apart well.
I used these brackets to make a quick to assemble 8" high frame for a drum set riser for a friends band. They're happy as was I with the outcome.
