Nice box
I’ve had this box for over 8 years now. Still looks good. Of course the lock doesn’t work anymore and the back door only hooks to one holding clip now but other that that a wonderful box.

Good to buy
I bought this mail box 10 years ago, the color is still the same no fake out. It’s very sturdy too, even crashed by a truck driver! There is a movable partition inside that allows us to accumulate more mails over months or small partials.

Great Mailbox
We are very pleased with this mailbox. Assembly was pretty straight forward. Didn't really need the written instructions, but they were helpful. As others have suggested, the only real challenge was installing the lock assembly. I used a file to create a little additional room because I was unsure about how much force I should use to insert the assembly. Other than that, everything fit just fine. If you have an existing mailbox post, this will all be a breeze. I didn't, so that is where I spent most of my energy, but I was going to have to do that anyway. As for the appearance, from a distance I'm not sure my neighbors realized this was plastic. Up close, it's pretty obvious. But it still looks good, and feels way more solid that just a box on a post. The only change I made from the standard installation was the house numbers. I didn't love the look of the stickers, so I installed some metal numbers (see photos), which I felt gave it a little nicer appearance. We considered painting the "stone" as some others have done to make it look more realistic, but in the end felt that it was good enough as is. If you compare the price to some other "faux stone" mailboxes, this is a fraction of the cost. I assume the others looks more like real stone, but at a certain price I may as well use real stone. So, bottom line, I recommend this mailbox, which has generated lots of positive feedback from my neighbors.

Cool Maibox Upgrade
This is a great mailbox upgrade. I originally wanted a brick mailbox until I found out the cost to have one built (800 plus) So when I found this via Google to Amazon and viewed the photos and reviews I was all in. Why not? Especially after seeing the painted ones. Alan Tesch review and photo was very helpful. Out of the box I thought it looked a little chessy. So bought my paint, primed the entire box with a gray primer and that totally changed the look. Bought spray paint in various colors to mirror the brick of our house and small bottles of multi-surface paint in the craft section. I begin to transform it and this thing really started to look like brick. I also painted the mailbox door black which paint does not adhere good to the door but I primed and painted it anyway, looks better. The assembly was super easy. The lock does fit tight which is what you need, you don't want the lock to be loose. I carved the hole out a little and then hammered it in with a rubber mallet. The roof is plastic and yes it only has dimples but you are using self tapping screw so there is no issue. I used the Gibraltor 4x4 anchor no dig. This made the final install super easy. I think my paint job came out great. Did my install late evening so when the neighbors see it the next day we will see how many think its real brick. I have attached my photo. Can't wait to set my flower bed around this box. I will upload another set of photos when flower bed is done. Oh the only reason I don't give this 5 stars is everything has room for improvement. Mailbox door should be black not gray. Better looking numbers and perhaps this area should have a metal plate. Bought my own numbers. Great upgrade for great price

Totally, Totally, LOVE THIS Highly recommended !!!!!!
Can not say enough good about this Mailbox. Was very easy to put together. I didn't have any of the problems that I read about in reviews. I will agree that some of the instructions should have come with writing and not just pictures but it was easy to figure out. I was unable to secure the unit to a 4x4 into the ground. I did wiggle a down spout through the two sections (keeping them together) and have added bricks to the bottom of the mailbox for weight so that it doesn't blow over with the wind. Where I have had to place this unit is next to my door in my carport on a paved driveway.......Having said that, while it might not stop someone from stealing the whole unit, it is way too heavy to let anyone have a clean get-a-way. They would struggle so badly, so all in all This so works for me! Having a worry about mail sprouting legs and walking off, I use it without the panel thus, the mail falls to the bottom. There is only one problem that I have encountered and that is when I need to put up the flag letting the postal worker know that I have mail waiting to be taken. With the panel resting at the bottom there is no place to place the outgoing mail. Right now I have been using a strong magnet that has a clip and have attached the magnet to the metal/magnet that keeps the door in place. I do think that what I will end up doing is securing a piece of metal to the inside of the mailbox and then put the magnet on that so that outgoing mail will have a proper place to sit and wait. Otherwise I am totally loving this mailbox!

Beautiful Mailbox: Do not let the reviews about the difficult lock installation discourage you from committing to this product!
This is an awesome product, which is everything that it professes to be. Not only very attractive, this mailbox will hold a lot of mail through the removable bottom while remaining well protected from the environment. Do not let the reviews about the difficult lock installation discourage you from committing to this product. It is easily overcome with a little ingenuity. It is true that the lock is difficult to install, but it is easily overcome using a file on the "flat" sides (don't overdue it), and I used a medium sized "C" clamp and blocks to push it through. Installation will require a 4 foot 4" x 4" and basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver selection and socket set). The customer service was fantastic as I did experience a problem with a part, but they were very quick to replace it via next-day FedEx. I have received numerous comments on my new mailbox and I expect it to serve me well for a very long time.
