Will this fit a thigh that is 29 inch?

Most likely no. This brace is an one size fits all or universal fit. I order this for my husband and looking at them my answer is no. As a former nurse you absolutely do not want a brace too tight, as your circulation will be cut off. So what do you do? Search for a size specific brace, such as XLarge 2xlrg,etc. Make sure the size specifically states it will fit the measurement of your thigh, even if says for example ; fits 29-34 inch. There is going to be a range with all sizes, unless you have it custom made. Remember also; to measure 6 inches from the patella of your knee or center upward to your thigh, for the best fit. How do you set the flexion dials for numbers not shown. The dial gives you 10, 20, 40, 60 then straight to 90. I need 70 & 80

You can't set them to 70 or 80. I suppose at those amounts you cannot walk comfortably and must be seated. If that's the case I'd try 90 then loosen the velcro straps for a little more range so instead of hitting a hard stop you'd feel the tension of the velcro strap.
