Helena Hippo & The Magic Ballet Slippers

Beautifully illustrated. Fun loving character. My 4 yr old granddaughter was delighted with this book and has enjoyed having this book read to her many times since I purchased it for her at Christmas. The beautiful illustrations help her even create her own words to the story which are not very far off from how it is written. A wonderful book for little ballerina's everywhere and guaranteed to be followed with a few dance steps when done reading.

Honestly the book was just okay. The only reason I purchased it is because the little girl I watch loves hippos and is taking ballet so I also ordered her the stuffed ballerina hippo (no relation to this product). The little girl I watch loves the book however I'm not a big fan. It uses words like confident which I needed to explain several times and also used words like "hehe" which again I'm not a fan of, however she really liked it and it went well with the toy I got her. Worked nicely for the purchase but I would never buy this for anyone else.

I purchased this book for my 3 year old as a birthday gift. She loves ballet and all of her gifts were ballet themed. It arrived and she could not wait to have me read it to her... but when I did, I was troubled by the multiple grammatical errors. Than and then are two different words and cannot be used interchangeably. Also, you cannot go back and forth between first person and third person point of view when writing. The story line is cute, but the author could really benefit from better editing. If I had realized what I was getting, I would not have paid nearly $9 for it.

The story is cute but there are few spelling and grammatical errors. My daughter enjoys it though.

This was a super book that thoroughly entertained my granddaughter.
