The Marzipan Pig

While this is a very sweet book and nicely illustrated - I was expecting a book about a marzipan pig. Instead, I would say this book is about a bold mouse! Do I recommend this book! Sure. If you want a book about a mouse and not a book about a marzipan pig!

I bought this book for my grown daughter that experienced a horrible tragedy in her life. It tells the story from different voices about loss and that ultimately you put on your party dress and go on. It's a thoughtful book, maybe weird to some, but very beautiful.

I had high hopes after reading some of the reviews but found this book’s plot confusing and nonsensical. Hoping for a positive message and we all found ourselves scratching our heads after we read it aloud at Christmas.

Classic. Buy and read to your kids.

Cute story. Looking forward to passing down the story of the Marzipan Pig to my grand kids. My Swedish Grandparents always sent us a small Marzipan Pig every Christmas while he was alive. Never knew the story behind the pig. Now I can enhance the Tradition. Thank you.

Simply beautiful!

Sweet but I don't think that I would choose it as one to take to school to read. A little quirky kind of story. Might want to consider bringing along a sample of marzipan for those (probably a majority) of students who have probably never heard of this product!

Thought this would be a lovely little gift to have for any friends at stop by… Accompanied with an actual marzipan pig. Unfortunately this story is too sad, just not what I was hoping
