Best $169 ever made! #RTIC4Life
First off I want to address an issue that some people seem to bring up constantly, and I hope RTIC reads this too! People are complaining about the warranty coverage reduction, but let's face it folks it's a cooler. If you honestly expect RTIC to have a six year warranty, you aren't going to get this awesome cooler for $169. You will be paying the $399 cost like a Yeti or even higher. Why? Because you are paying for the possibility of another cooler. It's built into the price. If Yeti was so damn great and their warranty was phenomenal, there would not be a parts aisle at the stores (i.e. Ace Hardware, Dicks, etc). Same as RTIC, the warranty is for defects and workmanship. Not for you to mistreat and abuse it, and then think you are going to get it replaced. No warranty will cover that, period. And who uses a cooler warranty? It's job is to keep stuff cold, not be a structural support or fall off moving vehicles, etc. I want to see real facts from Yeti owners who have legitimately damaged their Yeti and got it replaced for free. Or it fell out of a moving vehicle down the highway, broke and replaced for free. I haven't seen any and that is because it doesn't exist. Get over it.Onto the important tasks at hand. This cooler is awesome and keeps its contents cold. Basically, it does what it is advertised to do! I placed twenty frozen bottles of water in the cooler and a dozen room temperature bottles in at 4am for a day of offshore fishing. I was concerned and bought a 10lb bag of ice, and dumped it in as well. Problem one, i wasted $3 on a bag of ice because it never melted. Problem two, my bottles of water were still frozen 36 hours later with all the ice in tact. This is 36 hours outside on a boat, not covered or concealed. I know, it isn't really a problem. However, I did not honestly think this cooler would work this great. Next trip I will put in my frozen bottles of water with room temp bottles the night before, no extra ice, just to see if the bottles alone will do the cooling. My thoughts were the frozen bottles would make the others cold while thawing in the process resulting in full chest of cold water. I did get a dozen cold bottles and twenty frozen ones! I almost forgot, it also had foot long Wawa subs on top as well. The box it arrived in was a factory box that had no damage. The cooler was perfect and is 100% the most expensive cooler I have ever purchased. The only reason I bought it was because of the flatness of the sides, in order to fit in a space on my boat in the front of the console. I have only ever had Igloo Marine coolers, and they have not performed like this.In closing. I do not know anyone, let alone myself, that would need a cooler to keep ice for over five days. I also do not know anyone traveling on the Oregon Trail who may need to survive with a $399+ cooler. I highly suggest most of the people asking questions about warranty, dimensions, etc to visit the RTIC website. It is pretty spot on. If you want cold products in a cooler, this is great. If you want to say "I own a Yeti!", this cooler is not for you.If you want to pay $399 or more, this cooler is not for you.If you want a 6 year or higher warranty on a cooler, this cooler is not for you.If you want to get a swift kick in the balls to feel like you really got something after paying $399 or higher, this cooler is not for you.If you want to purchase an awesome cooler and have money in your pocket to fill up your fuel tank or boat tank or buy a dozen twelve packs or go out to dinner six times or a new rod/reel combo......then this cooler is for you!

Great cooler
I purchased this to keep medicine cold in the event of a power failure after a storm. When it arrived I was a little nervous as the box was very beat up. However the cooler was in great condition . After reading some of the bad reviews I decided to perform my own test. I prechilled this cooler and my 20 year old Coleman cooler overnight. I the put 30 lbs of ice in each cooler. On day two I started to notice the difference between the two. The Coleman had lost 1/2 of the ice. On day four, the Coleman only had room temperature water while the RTIC still had at least 1/2 of the ice. On day seven there was still one ice cube left. On day eight when I drained the cooler the water was still measuring at 47 degrees F. The room temperature was set to a maximum of 80 degrees. The seal is one piece and this appears to be well made. The only down side is there are no wheels. I knew this when buying so I cannot knock it down for that. If I ever have an extra 180 then will buy one of the wheel kits here on Amazon

Good cooler for the price that I paid.
I am happy with my RTIC cooler, it has performed well. It sits in the back of my truck 24/7 year around. It keeps drinks COLD 3 to 4 days in very humid Oklahoma sun all summer. I highly recommend this cooler. My only negative comment is about the price of these type coolers. I got mine on sale or I wouldn't have bought it.

Love this thing. Use it all of the time
Best cooler I’ve ever owned. Very well built. I’ve used mine for week long trips to camp in the summer. With temps from 70* to in the 90’s I’m never disappointed. Prechill the cooler. Started out with frozen meats and other food things just chilled. Two bags of ice and only opened the cooler when needed. Every thing stayed good and cold for six days. Never had to buy ice the whole week. Love these coolers. The price is well worth it. Loved it so much I had to buy another one.

Not impressed with the seal quality.
the rubber pads on the bottom are bad about popping out when sliding the cooler in the bed of my truck. The seal is surprisingly sub par in consideration that it is not continuous all the way around the lid. On the right side of the cooler lid, the seal overlaps where the seal begins and ends. Even the cheap Ozark trail coolers at walmart dont have that crappy of a seal. If you tip the cooler over it leaks significantly. The hinge appears to be robust and the rubber latches are nice and thick. Carry handles are just rope with padded tube

First off I would just love to say screw yeti
First off I would just love to say screw yeti. This cooler is worth the price and I'm so happy rtic is finally making larger sizes, was able to hold ice and beer under 50 degrees with me going in and out of the cooler repeatedly to show it off and get stuff for over five day. No pre ice in direct sunlight well over 90 degree days for five days.

Perfect! Great Size
Perfect! Great Size! Totally comparable to Yeti and doesn't destroy your wallet. Everything is of great quality. Ropes, plugs and locks for the lid are great.Side story I had tested the cooler with ice when i first got it and then drained it. When I stored it away I forgot to let it dry. As expected when I opened it 2 weeks later... still wet lol

THESE COOLERS LEAK!
After contacting the warranty department and denied coverage on a BRAND NEW cooler I decided to inform those on Amazon. Since RTIC is not affiliated with the BBB, a complaint will not be taken seriously. Their Facebook page won't allow reviews to be posted. Their website will delete any review less than 4 stars. It seems they are really trying to hide something. Went from a 7 year warranty, down to 90 days, now it is only a 30 day warranty. What a joke!My cooler was purchased new from RTIC and was shipped very fast. After testing to see how long it would keep ice (9 days in my 68*F home, impressive), I was carrying it out to empty the water and the lid won't seal. According to their website the "gasket helps prevent leaks" but I was told by RTIC that leaks are normal and I was stuck with a leaky cooler. Next stop, credit card chargeback.
