I know these are technically designed for m.2 but could these be placed on a gpu backplate for some passive cooling?

Why are there no instructions to show you how/where to install which of the three thermal pads?

Can i know the thickness of thermal pad? after i buy it, i want to replace the thermal pad to 'gelid solutions gp-extreme.'
