Worth it for a chronic upper back pain sufferer
I suffer from a dowager's hump due to bad posture. Additionally I'm an EMT and I sit in an ambulance for up to 13 hours. I'm used to coming home with an aching back that took ibuprofen to cure and laying supine till the aching went away. I decided to finally do something about it and took a chance on this posture corrector. Very solid investment. It adjusts easily, the straps are comfortable (I got the large even though I'm female due to being muscular and it's got plenty of give) and I felt hardly any discomfort whatsoever wearing it even secured quite snugly.I've had this for two long nights on the truck, and forgot one day in between. I noticed the difference in pain going home when I did vs when I didn't wear the device. Might not work for everyone but definitely can attest that for me it has indeed made a difference. Well worth the cost and came quite quickly!

Close But Not Quite
About the Camp Ben Slim Brace:Overall, this brace works OK but falls short, as it does not sufficiently offer the vertical alignment someone with my particular alignment issues seeks. Try this: stand up straight and allow your arms to fall normally at your side. Do your thumb joints roll inward toward each other, as if you’re bench pressing? Now purposely point your thumbs straight ahead in front of you. Ideally, the hands should fall parallel (thumbs forward) at the sides of our bodies. The Camp Ben does cause me to elevate the shoulders but does not also pull them backward satisfactorily. It provides horizontal rather than vertical correction, so think of it as aligning the shoulders via an upward lift, instead of pinning the shoulders back in the vertical plane as do straps from a backpack. In my opinion, both horizontal and vertical posture correction is what most folks seeking these types of products are after. Camp Ben provides the former and less the latter. An actual backpack pulls the shoulder rearward, along a vertical plane, as the straps run vertically, distributing weight lengthwise along the torso and also across the shoulders. Yes, the Camp Ben wears a bit like a backpack, but the figure 8 design causes it to loop very closely underneath your arms just beneath the shoulder joint, distributing weight horizontally through the trapezius/collar bones. This will hurt the underarms until you get used to it; your muscles will try to avoid discomfort by elevating the shoulders, which is part of the goal for correction. The figure 8 brace serves to help retrain your trapezius and scapulae muscles to elevate your shoulders but could do better to pull the shoulders back, thus pinning the blades to the rear rib cage appropriately. This type of imbalance will take significant time to correct, depending on the time you have spent in misalignment. So I alternate between this brace and a Thera-Band resistance strap wrapped around my upper biceps and across my upper back to achieve the vertical alignment correction I desire.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0027AMZUY/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=A32Y7HFRF7624F&th=1A few physical details about me and my need for this type of posture support:I experience inward rotation of mostly my right (dominant) shoulder, in conjunction with minor pelvic tilt, which causes my right-side to seem an inch or so shorter in length compared to my left; these subtle alignment issues are due to years of weight training (tight muscles) and also related to poor posture while seated at work and home. The weight-lifting (push motions) cause the inward rotation of the shoulder due to over emphasis of training larger muscles (i.e., pectorals, anterior deltoids) and lesser use of stabilizer muscles (scapulae, rear deltoids, and trapezius). As a result, my collar bones don’t rest identically on both sides, and I also experience slight scapular winging in my left shoulder blade. It’s awkward but barely noticeable and therefore correctable with time and better muscle mobility training. As a 39-year-old male, focus on a balanced, lighter weight, total body fitness regimen as opposed to heavy, body part-driven routines make for less accumulative pain and or injury. At least I better get this idea into my head or risk an old age full of joint replacement surgeries. Yikes!Inflamed tendons in my elbow and shoulder joints are directly related to the poor posture and neglected stabilizer muscles mentioned above. A few years ago I discovered Yoga — full body stretch routines— which eliminated/alleviated these subtle nagging pains that started to manifest. I get away from this and end up only lifting weights. Consequently, at my age, if I don’t follow a balanced exercise/stretch routine and get wrapped up in my work schedule, or just become lazy, the posture issues conduce to muscular-skeletal imbalances that require more use of braces, a vicious cycle.

It works really really well in holding posture and you can adjust the straps pretty easily once it is on
This item is exactly as described. It works really really well in holding posture and you can adjust the straps pretty easily once it is on, and the velcro sticks well. It is not that bulky at all, and although it can be seen under / over a T-shirt it is easily hidden under a hoodie. The lower shoulder profile, off the net backside is good for this and comfortable. The straps are padded and do not rub, but I have not worn it yet for an extended period of time (more than 2 hours at a time). The only reason it did not get 5 stars is that I am a taller and broader athletic guy and getting it on without the straps slipping out was a little difficult on my own, and ultimately needed assistance to do it quickly.

Help to relieve symptoms from Clavicle injury immediately
Mountain bike crash which caused a concussion, dislocated sternoclavicular joint, etc.. I needed a brace to pull my ligaments and shoulder back into place and this brace is doing its job. After rehab, rest, and over 2 weeks of doing nothing I still had numbness and throbbing in both shoulders. I couldn't take any more electrode therapy and most of my pains went away once I put this brace on. Very well built and I use it over a shirt because I have it pretty tight to pull my shoulders back. I immediately notice my symptoms returning after taking it off for a shower. I highly recommend this device and will continue to wear it in the future when I am sitting in front of my computer or television for extended periods of time. They will answer any questions you have (even on Sunday!) and you can be assured they stand behind their product. Thank you Camp Ben

I got it everything fine. No complaints
I got it everything fine. No complaints, maybe my expectation were too high I though it would force me to have a straight posture but it doesn't it works more like a reminder I guess.

Works great!
Nice fit and an Ideal posture support product for my shoulder problems. Almost exactly like something I was looking for. The soft fabric feels good to be on me for a few hours every other day and I am not getting scratched by the Velcro. Thank you!
