Unflinching, honest, and moving journey
Beneath all the crowded London bars, chilled cocktails, media events, and thrilling infidelity is a vulnerable woman coming to grips with how a difficult past has shaped her decisions. Through a swift, beautifully written, introspective story, she leads us on a journey from an unhappy marriage in England to Egypt, career change, yoga on the beaches of Goa, and into a world of sobriety, self-compassion, and ultimately, love. A thought-provoking, entertaining, and eye-opening read that is particularly relevant and inspiring in a post-pandemic world that has so many questioning their own place in it.

Satisfying ending
I enjoy memoir & I was tantalized by the take-off title from Eat, Pray, Love. It fit within the storyline, so was not as cheesy as it might first appear. The story was depressing early on but reached new and redeeming heights to provide a satisfying ending.I was a bit lost at the start of the book when she started at a beach & then diverted to another time. Then it became apparent that it was her theme & starting point for each chapter to start when she is at a beach somewhere in the world.

A new beginning.
As a twice divorced woman, this book absolutely caught my attention.Divorce is scary. Starting over again. Remembering who you are. That overwhelming, all consuming sense of utter failure. Putting your self back together takes so much strength, belief you no longer have in your self.I love the use of this gorgeous shell. Though it may be empty, it is filled with such promise, hope, beauty.Lisa starts her memoir reflecting she knew her husband was not the partner for her. Scared to start again, Lisa goes through with the ceremony - consumed by loneliness, shame for her professional success, and her growing need for alcohol. In an effort to meet her needs, Lisa joins an app for married people. In combination with alcohol, Lisa searches. She searches for escape. She searches for a life. She searches for herself. Finally she ends her marriage - forcing a new beginning, to embrace her fear.

A Beautiful Journey into Purpose and Self Discovery
I enjoyed this read! I truly love Lisa's honesty. Being brutally honest is always a great risk and she took it !! Love it! She owned the mistakes, championed the wins and enbraced the lessons. It was inspiring to journey with Lisa on these pages as she discovered, reunited and freed herself with the help of all who were aligned to be apart of this sojourn with you. I have noted some inspirational thoughts and ideas expressed in this book. Thank you Lisa!

Brave, raw and brutally honest in the best way
I did not expect this book to be this book. I knew it was going to be good, but I had no idea that the moment I started reading I wouldn’t be able to put it down until I finished it at midnight! It truly is the British counterpart to Eat Pray Love. There is no schmaltz, instead there is an almost tangible realness to every part of the story, I felt like I was there as I was reading it. It’s real and raw and honest, in the way that too few people dare to be.Lisa is a fantastic writer, and she has a fantastic and inspiring story to tell. If you’re stuck in an unsatisfactory life and longing for a taste of freedom, I dare you to read this book.Thank you Lisa for sharing your amazing story with the world. Keep doing what you’re doing!
