This is a quality product. Solid steel, solid shackle, and nice isolators. However it's 1 29/32", about 1/16" smaller than the other competitor I bought. It sags in the receiver and rattles around. The competitor's is 1 31/32" so there is only 1/32" of play, therefore just shy if snug like very other hitch I've used. If you looks at some other the other photos you can see what I mean. I love the colors and everything else but it has too much play for my liking.

I bought this shackle receiver as recovery gear to carry in my FJ of offroading. We also have quite a bit of snow here in the mountains of Colorado and you just never know when you can help someone who slides off. Although I hope I don't have to use this gear, I'm ready for when I need it. Came fast after I ordered it. Pretty hefty, no doubt it will do the job. Price was good too. I recommend it for anyone living in rural areas where the roads aren't always plowed in the winter.

Just looking for a 2-inch shackle? This is what you want. What I like best about this is the storage box that comes with it. Sure it's cardboard, but a few pieces of duct tape to reinforce the corners/edges, and it will last a while. The box keeps all of the parts together where I need them and keeps this from banging up my other tools/accessories.The shackle and receiver have a nice powder coat finish, and the shackle comes with an isolator. Because of the dual through holes, this receiver allows the shackle to sit vertical or horizontal. The silicone washers reduce wobble and therefore noise. I would not leave this mounted, but for those who would, this feature results in one less noise to worry about.Pros:- Powder coat finish- Silicone washers for noise reduction- Allows for vertical or horizontal mounting- (Cardboard) Storage boxCons:- None that I've found

Where to start? We’ve had this Shackle Receiver for over a year now. We love it! Completes the look of our 4Runner and we’ve even utilized it to pull out some bushes on our acreage.Now, let me tell you how sturdy and durable this thing is and why I think it saved my kids lives… On our way to our acreage this afternoon, we were stopped behind a car waiting to turn left. In the car was my husband, our 1.5 year old, our 2 week old and myself. Unfortunately, the box truck behind us did not see the stopped traffic and hit us from behind. The damage to their front end was intense and the driver of the box truck was barely conscious and had to be taken away in an ambulance. Now for our damage, yes our rear end is a mess and the window shattered, but my kids, husband and I walked away completely unharmed. The box truck had a hole in it’s bumper where this product left it’s mark but on my 4runner the Shackle Receiver is still completely intact.I stand by that this Shackle Receiver took the brunt of the impact and saved us and our 4Runner from worse damage. I cannot recommend this product enough.

The 2 inch receiver is one and seven eighths! Really?! Thanks for wasting my time again. Made in CHINA.
