Direct Fit
Installed this in my 2003 Passat 1.8T and it was a direct fit. My temp gauge would fluctuate and randomly drop out, this resolved the issue. Connector fits, the O-ring fits, and the new clip fits. Some users state tying dental floss to it to avoid dropping it into the engine bay. It is at the back of the engine, and a little tight, but not too difficult.

O ring
The o ring sent was not for my model . Part was right and after buying the right o ring from my dealer all is working great .
