It varies by game but in one game it lights up the colors and you have to play it back. One more note/color is added every round. It's fun!

Are there degrees of difficulty levels on this game

That’s the point of the game. As you naturally progress it becomes harder. But it cannot be played at varying levels of difficulty. BTW, a child can become more advanced than an adult.

How good is the quality?

Quite good quality. They start u out with a battery that they expect u will need to replace soon. Not a defect. It simply allows u to play immediately. But do change the battery soon thereafter.
