Max Lugavere delivers again! He is one of the only voices in the nutrition space that I continue to trust. One of Max’s goals with this new book was to provide readers with healthy and delicious recipes that can be enjoyed in the company of their friends and loved ones; I can honestly say that this has proven to be very true for me as I have brought these recipes to life.Genius Kitchen builds on Max’s previous two books, Genius Foods and The Genius Life, and it is so much for than a just a cookbook. It is organized into two parts:Part 1 - What to stock your kitchen with; How to build healthy eating habits.Part 2 - Over 100 recipes, with beautiful photographs to go along with them.The recipes for a “Genius Life” includes meals to help break your morning fast, small bites, main dishes, sauces, and wraps up with desserts. Some of my favorites include: Spicy Sesame Broccoli Slaw, the Insanely Crispy Gluten-Free Buffalo Chicken Wings, and the Almond Olive Oil Cake.Each recipe includes a brief excerpt of how the dish has impacted Max’s life in some way, shape or form, and step-by-step recipe/directions. They are easy to follow for anyone, regardless of experience in the kitchen.Not only is Max a good writer & extremely knowledgeable when it comes to science-backed food information, he is a great human-being. Genius Kitchen is a resource that I will keep coming back to over and over again. For anyone looking for a new cookbook to add to their collection in 2022, I would strongly encourage you to make it this one!

Delicious, tasty, unique recipes
Max Lugavere has written an incredibly helpful guide for people looking to improve their health through nutrition. His recipes are easy to follow, thorough and result in delicious entrees, appetizers, soups, and desserts! The photographs are tantalizing - so beautiful! My family loved the recipes from this book. Our favorites so far include miso mustard broccoli, crispy broccoli hot wings, spicy sesame broccoli slaw and spiced chickpea and broccoli stew with turmeric and mint. If you are serious about creating unique and tasty meals for yourself and your family, this is definitely the book for you! Plus, Max shares wonderful insight about how to improve your health and create genius habits in Chapter 2. Amazing book!! Buy it!!

Nourish your body + mind through quality, delicious, really functional recipes!
I love the Genius Kitchen book! Why? I was born and raised in Italy and recently moved to California a few years ago. Food isn't only about feeding my body, but it represents a way of living and enjoying life. We grow up learning how to taste, combine ingredients and cook with Nonna (Granma) and enjoy the pleasure of eating our creations. Food is a social thing! Max was able through this book to deliver high-quality recipes nourishing both the body and the mind and giving me back those childhood memories when I was learning this inspiring art of cooking. I love reading the book and learning how we can combine ingredients to send a signal of pleasure to our brain based on ingredient combinations. Max got the point of combining science, taste, and fabulous functional recipes for our well-being. The book is a must for all passionate about the art of making food with the addition of boosting your health, immune system, and brain through delicious well done recipes!

Good recipes
More involved recipes. I don’t have all the ingredients so I really haven’t used it. Nice book but more than I can handle.

Very insightful
If you follow any of Max’s advice or tips on eating healthy this is the book for you, it breaks everything down by types of food you should have in your kitchen. Max is a very intelligent individual with great insight and knowledge on what types of food to eat regularly. His cook book is easy to use and has a lot of various recipes and foods to have in your kitchen no matter what diet you’re on. Definitely a good one to keep in the kitchen!

Eat Like a Genius!
Genius Kitchen takes the best of Max’s knowledge and puts it into actionable steps with the abundance of simple, but delicious nutrient dense recipes. If you’ve read Genius Foods and Genius Life, you’ll love Genius Kitchen. If not, this is a great place to get acquainted with Max’s work! What I love most about the content of this book is that Max provides the “why” behind each intentionally chosen ingredient and the way each recipe is constructed. It’s the perfect combination of nutrition science and fun, approachable recipes with a touch of Max’s personal connections to the material. I’ve especially enjoyed the roasted broccoli with shallot and bonito, bangin’ chicken liver, and blueberry lemon tart, and can’t wait to cook my way through the rest of the recipes. Will absolutely be recommending this book to my nutrition clients and purchasing as gifts for friends and family!
