I read all the reviews regarding melting the product in the pan of hot water. I sewed an old towel and made a fold over top with a velcro closure. I place the pad into this envelope of terrycloth and boil for 20 minutes on medium heat. I then pull it out with plastic rubber coated tongs not to puncture the pad. The product has worked fine for myself. Yes, many extra steps but it all works. Also I use a huge metal pot with gallons of water.

The Instant Heat Pack to be honest I have used it before and absolutely loved it. When mine broke I quit using them and went back to using the old fashioned heating pad that plugs into and outlet and that you have to wait until it gets to the right temperature. What I like is that you snap the disk and you have instant heat. The fit is absolutely perfect, the heat hits all those trigger points that caused the spasms in the first place. I sorry that I didn't replace mine when it broke. It took many years and I have to thank my son for turning my attention back to the Instant Heat Pack. This product has surpassed my expectations.

Great product! Perfect to melt away stress in your neck and shoulders. I will have to buy a new one, because I was not the only one that liked it. It appears my son "accidentally" took it with him when he left to work out of state for 5 months.

Doesnt work. Instructions say to click the clicker disc. You could click the clicker disc until the end of time and nothing happens. I understand the principal behind this, these tend to be either they work or they dont. The fact that out of the box it didnt work tells me they have poor quality control and even if we got one that worked as a replacement it will probably fail in short time.
