I got this lavalier mic after my prior one started getting pops and crackles. Had this since late 2019 and it has far outlasted my prior brand. I have been using this with my old smart phone to capture audio for my YouTube videos. Does a great job for a budget mic. So if you can't bite the bullet and buy the more expensive audio options that run $100+, this is a great alternative to improve sound quality over built in mic setups on most camera's. Keep in mind this will not be super high quality, but the wind socks this comes with do a much better job than I would have expected out of a $30 setup. After several events and many trips packing and unpacking the sound quality still hasn't broken down or degraded. I have definitely been impressed by the quality of sound you get for a ~$30 product. The cord length is good, it comes with an extension cord, adapters and it also comes with 2 styles of windsock(the usual foamy style and a 'deadcat' style sock). The wind socks do a pretty good job of getting rid of wind noise and other small background noises, but it's not perfect. I use a standard plug on my phone, so haven't needed the adapters. I would expect the adapters work, but I'll let someone who has used them comment on that part. I can definitely say this was well worth the price and if I'm not ready to upgrade to a zoom setup by the time this dies, I would buy another.

The sound quality is great, one of the best I've tried I use this hooked up to my motorcycle for moto vlogging and calls and it is great at focusing on voices and nonnatural sounds when you need, I can easily edit the audio to focus on exhaust sound as well while keeping the wind noise out. Especially for this price point, you can't beat it. I did find the cord a little long so I wish it was shorter and just had an extension but you can't complain about this price. It comes with a lot of accessories and nice to-haves which make it a great option.

The media could not be loaded. This is a review of the Purple Panda Lavalier Lapel Microphone Kit.I got this microphone for use with my camcorder (Canon HRF50). Unfortunately it does not work with my particular camcorder because this is not a powered microphone and my camcorder requires a powered external microphone. Had I known that beforehand I would not have ordered this. However I do own a GoPro Hero3+ Black and this works with that as well as with my iPhone6s. So I'm going to keep it.I've got another similarly priced lav microphone that I use with my iPhone, but this is superior for several reasons. The plug on this microphone is a TRRS which works with my iPhone. But not all devices will recognize TRRS so there is an included TRRS to TRS adapter included with this. And if that weren't enough you also get a Mini-USB adapter to enable this to be used with GoPro 3, 3+ and 4 cameras. The TRS adapter lets you use the mic with a GoPro 2 as well. This won't work with GoPro 5 I don't believe.Another bonus is the 10' long extension cable. This really makes this lav microphone more useful to me since I no longer have to be constrained by the 5' limited length of the microphones' cable.The microphone has a foam windscreen on it and included is a more effective "dead cat" type windscreen that attaches over the foam.I'm quite satisfied with the sound quality of this at the price point. You'd have to spend quite a bit more to get a significant improvement in sound quality.

I needed an inexpensive lavalier mic for a small scale interview project. I researched several mics and decided to try out this one because sources said the customer service was excellent. This kit comes with everything you'd need to get started. It is compatible with DLSRs (which is what I used) and smartphones. Although do note if you have a newer galaxy with a "USB-C" this only comes with a micro USB adapter. I'm sure a converter can be found inexpensively.Before I even received the mic I got an email from Purple Panda with a quick start guide and reassurance that they were there if any assistance was needed. The mic was EASY to set up and came packaged well. It took me less than 2 mins from first opening the package to completing a successful audio test.I was very impressed with the quality of the mic. The lav clip is VERY sturdy. This worked great for my project. I was conducting miniature interviews in a crowded space with a LOT of background noise and the interviewee's comments came out clear and easy to understand. I'd highly recommend this mic to anyone starting out or just adding to their collections. For $30 you can't beat it in my opinion.

Go ahead and purchase it!For everyone else: I purchased this microphone for my GoPro Hero 10 so I can film motorcycle videos. I am extremely surprised at the quality of this microphone. For 33 smackeroonies, I can firmly say that this blew away my expectations.I wish it had better noise cancellation, but that is my being picky. It cancels noise about 85%-90% of what I would like it to do, but for the price, I cannot complain. It can pick up my voice on a motorcycle traveling at 80+ MPH on the interstate, so it's good.This product is worth your money for sure.

I recently bought this mic to motovlog. Bough a GoPro with media mod, connected the mic and nothing happened. Tested it with my iPhone and it picked up nothing. Went out and bought a different trs to trrs adapter thinking it was that and no. Went over to my buddies house ( he has exact same mic) and it worked immediately. Emailed them 48 hours ago, got nothing. Emailed them again and still nothing. They include a card in the box that says “Customer Service 7 days a week” not true at all. Would love to hear back and get a new one shipped to me asap as I planned on using it very soon on a long trip me and my wife are taking. Will update my review if anything changes.
