While super soft, these shorts still parachute. It said tapered but they hardly are, maybe technically by half an inch or something. When I sit, they ride up to my boxers, so I wouldn't recommend wearing these in public like advertised. I guess they're still good for the gym if you've got buff thighs. Pretty disappointing for the high price. They would also be better if they had a (functional) fly
