Q: How many yards of fabric do you need? I don't see that on the package back.

Depending on size you need 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 yards. It took me a few minutes to tind the information. On the back of the pattern envelope where it says DRESS CUT CROSSWISE is the fabric needs. Not very clear inforation I think.

Q: Does this blow open easily and cause wardrobe malfunctions? Want to make it for campus wear, lots of walking and it is a windy town

Depends on the material. Light weight chiffon is going to be a problem, and a thin knit jersey. Go by the materials listed on the pattern.

Q: Does it have to be made reversible?

Hello, Yes, the design feature is a Reversible Wrap Dress. There are no facings which would be needed if it isn't made to be reversible.

Q: can you use a crushed velvet material?

Crushed velvet might be a little tricky, but be sure fabric is washable and color fast and can keep it shape and does not shrink. I would definitely use a lightweight shiny fabric on the reverse that has the qualities i mentioned and is complementary with the crushed velvet. Good luck
