Commercial Air Pump 18 Watt Single Outlet, 6 Valve Manifold for Aquarium, Fish Tank, Fountain, Pond & Hydroponics, 396 GPH, Silver

Ordered the 25 watt for 2, 44 gallon trashcans hydroponic setups and is working great so far. I did not not receive a blue one like most of the reviews state or in the photo. I got a silver one but I did get a metal 6 pin manifold and was expecting a plastic one. Good value. Not silent but don't notice it outdoors.

Im using this between 4 Tanks, 4 sponge filters and 3 breeder boxes & 1 Air stone. I LOVE IT! 1 plugged in air pump for 9 items!! it does get a bit hot, i have it in the bottom of my tank stand with a small camp fan blowing on it, with the fan running all is good

While the pump is just a bit noisy, but considering the air flow it isn't bad. It does get a little warm, so leave room for air flow around the pump when installing it.

While it seemed quite loud at first plug in, I found it is the noise of the air popping out of the compressor, not the sound of the running pump. I expect it will not be so loud when the air is being used. The volume of air is impressive. I will be using it to blow the smoke from a laser diode etching/cutting machine, which is not here yet.

Bought this pump a few months ago to supply air to mycelium for bulk mushroom liquid culture production. Only ran the pump for 45 minutes tops before I concluded that it didn't produce enough pressure to pass through the filters I was using to keep contamination out of my cultures. Unrestricted the pump moved a decent amount of air but through the filters hardly any. I assumed the pump just wasn't built to produce decent pressure, rather they just focused on volume. Today I decided to open it up to see exactly why this was and to see if I could make it better. I was unpleasantly supprised to find the cylinder wall with a relatively giant gouge taken out of it which caused a major lack of compression as the air leaked through it.If you're experiencing the same lack of pressure, especially right out of the box, I encourage you to check your cylinder for the same gouge.Unfortunately I am outside of the return window, though I may still try to contact Amazon anyway to see if there's anything they can do.I hope you all find this review useful.

If it holds up, it's a BOSS. I don't usually review but these guys seem to have some unearned 1 star reviews. There is a clear difference between intentional misleading on description versus a description from a non native English speaker that no doubt operates on a different electrical system as well. First, look close and see this thing is a "plug in" pump and not battery operated - some times we need to think. This pump wouldn't run on anything short of a car battery if it were battery operated. Secondly, yes it is much louder than other small pumps. Look at the size and power, Harley Davidson also has a louder engine than a kids scooter - it also comes with a large supply of air hose which is no doubt meant to run from somewhere out of the way so noise can be cut down on, again one needs to think. In any event, if they stand by their product and refund if needed there is no issue with the product or it's description. I have seen many ads that mislead and seek to supply things that are under what we expect, this IS NOT one of those items. Pump blows away any at the local pet store, price is good, and so far it runs like a scalded horse. I hope it keeps up. Thank you.

Overall, the product does function correctly. The air hose that they supply you with is horrible as it is rubbery and collapses easily. It honestly makes a lot of noise. I’ve never had another one, so I’m not comparing it to any other ones but in my opinion, it is too noisy. We’ve had tons of issues with it leaking air even when changing to different hoses or using the original hose, which was rubbery rather than a harder air hose not all of the valves would actually open to allow for air pass. I would not recommend this product.

Doesn’t work

So far, this is one one of the items I have purchased on Amazon. First, the items took so long to arrive, the instructions were unclear and then the plug was defective. To say it was a waste of time and money was an understatement. I will not be patronising this seller anymore.
