Q: Does this contain red dye. Red dye is harmful to hummingbirds?

I ordered this product in good faith when I ordered the feeders, assuming it would be OK for Hummingbirds. After reading more about the Hummingbird, I realized that Red dye is not good for them. Upon reading the label on the product, I seen that it contains Red #40 Color, I decided to dump the product down the drain, and take my loss. I also decided to make my own food which takes only a couple of minutes, Water and Sugar boiled, certainly not rocket science. My feeders are now filled, and am waiting for the Hummingbirds to migrate back, as I live in the Northeast in NH. Hope this helped. Old Joe
