Bosch BT 250 Aluminum Elevator Tripod

5 stars all the way, actually 6 stars be better. Just picking this up, can feel the quality, hard to describe but light years better than the $40-70 tripods found everywhere, not even close. Super rigid when open, no hokey lame balancing, has 2 bubble level circle windows, 1 for the tripod, the other for the rotating pad where the laser level sits. The up/down crank works excellent, smooth with good metal grind on the gear teeth. Liked this so much gave away my other tripod for camera/ laser level use. If this is a negative, is one, this sadly does not come with a carry case or bag. Also, no instructions included either. But this is pretty self-explanatory. Thanks Bosch for a wonderful tripod.

This is top quality but I wanted it for my Bosch 18v work light, I think the tripod is made for leveling tools. It does work for the light but those batteries are heavy. The tightening knobs don't hold the light and it flops to one side.

It’s a light and solid tripod

Would be nice if it included a bag or hard case for transport. Only negative reviews I read is it's fragile so I've been very careful with mine. No problems so far but it definitely seems like it could have been designed to be more durable.

It is exactly what I wanted after having a much lighter tripod which broke after a few years. This new one is much more substantial and admittedly not an easy “carry in hand” unit. It has heft but also reaches heights so that I don’t have to put on top of a table etc. The shoe attachment has the standard accessory screw. The gear system for extending the center pool provides for minute adjustment. So, it’s excellent for moderate to heavy duty use but it is definitely not an easy carry due to its relatively heavy weight and bulk...best to find a cloth case with shoulder strap someplace.

I bought this to get a starlink mini up as high as possible. Out of all of the 10' stands, I think this is the best choice. There are some frustrating issues - mainly, the geared shaft doesn't have a bushing to keep it straight when raising/lowering the main center rod. Also the tilt head doesn't want to tighten securely. This might be an issue with a heavy telescope or laser, but for lightweight purposes it should be fine. Bosch makes a heavier duty stand, but at 16lb, that one is too heavy. This one, at 5lb, is more manageable. Also note that it does not come with a case or carrying strap/handle.

i previously had a slightly cheaper tri[pod that was horrible quality and quickly broke. i bought this to replace it. my only complaint is that this tripod will not drop any lower than 3 and a half feet

Love the product. Robust yet light weight for the height that it can reach. My ceilings only go to 8' but this Bosch tripod can go well above that. Just installed the uppers on my new Ikea kitchen and this made the work so easy, fast and helped the laser to deliver a bang on level cabinets. I've had smaller tripods that get set on a base cabinet to reach height, but have also had one fall over when somoene accidently bumped it while carrying something walking by it and damaged the laser. Lesson: Get the right tool for the job. Great product and I highly recommend it

The tripod seems very sturdy and easy to use. The height it reaches is excellent and I feel it is good value for the price.
