The Standard Deviants - Master English Punctuation 2

I wasn't sure when I ordered these for my middle schoolers if they would be good or bad, but I'm now glad we got them. They use goofy spoofs and sound effects every now and then. At first I found it odd. Then I realized that this momentary brief tidbit of comedy had my kids paying attention throughout the whole DVD. I like to quiz them a day or two later, and they still retain the info. So although, this seems a bit silly to an adult, somehow it makes the information stick!! We have sense bought the writing and public speaking DVDs as well.

Whether you want it to supplement your child's education or as a refresher course the Standard Deviants is a great choice. I have most of their dvd's and my children have benefited greatly from them. I homeschool my children and this product has been a great addition to their education. It is very entertaining so the student will retain it better. The Basic math and pre algebra are also great choices from Standard Deviants. They also have several language learning dvd's as well.

I have accumulated the English grammar series. Each one of them are excellent.I believe that you must watch them multiple times to master the knowledge in the DVDs.The fact that you are able to rewind the DVD and replay a concept until you understand fully is great.

This DVD has helped my students understand grammar better than what is taught in the book. It is made in a way that students can understand it and grasp the concept of grammar.

Some of the information in these videos is silly but overall, very helpful. I would recommend for use in middle-high school classes.
