Helly Hansen Men's Pace Trail HTXP Trail Running Shoe

I can see these being a very good hiking shoe for cool, wet weather. As a trail runner, they're too heavy and clunky for my tastes. Once you get used to running in minimalist shoes, everything else feels like you're walking on stilts. Having said that, the reason I got these was to use them as 3-season hiking shoes for places where it hurts to wear my thin-soled low-profile shoes. I say 3-season because they're way too hot for summertime wear. The construction is very solid and the fit is good, but not great. I like a wide toe box and tight heel cup and these have neither. These have sufficient room up front, but it's not toe-spreading heaven like a Merrell barefoot. Also, the lacing provides lots of adjustability to size the shoe as you move from thin to thick socks.Overall these are a great value. For someone who likes more cushioning and less ground feel they would be a great choice. Now I'm just waiting for cold, sloppy weather to really use them.

I have to say it and I'm gonna say it as loud and proud as I canILOVETHESESHOES.This is my first pair of helly hansen shoes and first item of theirs ever owned, and I'm so happy I do. I bought these shoes in black, size 11 for $33. They are the most comfortable shoe ever. Break in period took maybe a couple hours. They're stylish, waterproof, with great traction. I can't think of anything else I would ever need in shoes.. other than durability. But to be honest I don't see that being a problem. They are lightweight but not to the point where they aren't sturdy. I wore them at an amusement park two days after owning them and my feet felt completely fine by the end of the day. I've worn them threw wet dewy grass for extended walks with no problems. I've hand washed them in the sink(even though I originally bought these to get wet and dirty in) with no leaks at all. These are the greatest shoes ever.With that being said I bought my wife a pair in her size for $38 which should arrive today. AND right after I purchased these shoes the price went up about $20 so I've been watching it fall back down - when it hits $33 I am buying the exact same pair again. I believe in sticking with a shoe you like and at this price you cannot go wrong no matter how long they last(assuming they last at least a year of rough outdoor use)Everything has sold me on this shoe from the price to out of box comfort, these shoes are depicted on HH website for probably $110 msrp... so if you can find these in your size at a low price I would buy up a bunch. I actually demanded my twin brother buy a pair the day after I received them because they are that good.Not sure how long the stock on these or low prices will last but Even though I already own a pair, worse case scenario, I will buy another pair if the prices jumps up to $60 because they are worth it.So I'll probably post another review of this down the road or update this review in the future because I have found a shoe that's worth all this fuss.Thanks HH - I buy a lot of outdoor products from Mountain Hardwear to Arcteryx and I am adding you to my trusted brand list.

Stable, comfortable, grippy and best of all for soggy season in the NW, they're waterproof! Great shoe for the price.Note - this shoe fits a bit bigger than I'm used to. I use a 9M in Asics, Columbia, Rockport, Merrel etc. but found an excellent fit in this shoe's 8.5M. I originally had a size 9 but they were a bit too long (width was fine).

Very comfortable, well fitted for my shoes size and the shoes kept my feet dry while in the rain. However the shoes lack traction while hiking on trails that were paved with stones and wood planks. The trail surface was slightly wet and I fell several times due to the lack of traction while my friends were fine with their regular tennis shoes.

Be sure to understand these are running shoes. Not cross-training, not hiking, not work shoes. With that, the fit is snug like a good running shoe should be. Sure, you can wear them for just about any activity from shopping at the mall to riding a bike, but they are first and foremost a trail running shoe.The quality is impeccable as expected from a premier outdoor gear company like Helly Hansen. Yes, the toe does curl upward just a little, but it looks cool. You can see the curl, but you can't feel it, I think the whole idea is to keep you from stumbling over things on the trail and to give added toe protection.The black shoes are a bargain at $33! You can't go wrong and they are built to last many years of rugged wear.

High Quality shoes! I don't know why more people are not buying them. This is my first Helly Hansen buy and I'm very impressed. I normally wear a size 11 and that's what I bought and they seem about a half size too big. But that's not a problem because I plan to wear thick socks with these because I will wear them mainly in the winter time. Fit is very comfortable and they don't seem like they're going to take very long to break-in. The price is unbeatable. I looked at other name brands in waterproof running shoes and the price was at least $20 greater.

These are great shoes. I work with kids and I play running games almost everyday. The only downside is they do not breath very well, but that is common on a lot of trail running shoes.

I would order these a 1/2 size larger than you normally wear. They are a little tight on my toes as the shoe narrows at the front. Over all well constructed nice shoe.

I'm a big HH fan and find all their product's ideal. I specifically bought these for walking in better weather months.

Perfectas, no hay mucho mas que decir, agarre, flexibilidad, abrigo, protección...suelo utilizar este tipo de calzado para trabajar y no me había encontrado ningunas tan buenas.

Bonne chaussure de marche, mais pour le trail c'est pas tout a fait ca .. par contre super étanche, largeur de pieds confortable, .. en trail , pas assez d'amorti et maintien du pieds crée des frottement sous la cale de pronation .. Mais sinon super chaussure pour le Week End, en version décontracté.
