Great For Improving Harp Playing Skills
The media could not be loaded. This book arrived in new condition. I like that this book was written for playing the harp instrument. As a beginner, the 2 finger exercises are very good for my practice. This helps to build confidence while playing the harp. Also, there are exercises for the more advanced harpist, such as the 3 finger and the 4 finger arpeggios. This book provides structure for practicing. The exercises included, helps me to play my harp more fluently and more efficiently. This way, I can learn to play beyond the beginner phase. I am definitely using this harp practice book into the future. As I gradually, learn to play the more advanced harp notes, I can have this book as a guide.I am glad that I found a book to help improve my harp playing skills.

Perfect for showing me my faults!
I'm getting back to harp after a few years away and boy I lost all my talent. This book will help me get it back. It definitely shows me how lacking I am in smoothness and muscle memory but will help me if I keep at them. This is just what I was looking for. I'm only at the beginning pages tho and haven't really seen much of the rest of the book. But it's already got me working on 5ths, 6ths, and octaves. I need that.

Great exercises for a harpist returning to playing
I haven’t played the harp in many years. When I started back, I realized that I was almost back to a beginner. I bought this book of exercises and fine it very useful, whatever level you’re at.Nicely bound. Would recomend.

A Must Have for Harp Practice Sessions!
This book is great for improving sight reading, stretching and exercising the fingers, warming up, and it's great to have nearby when you have days you know you need to practice but don't really know exactly what you feel like working on. Just grab this book, practice some technique and exercises, and before you know it you've played for a half hour and feel like working on that one piece you know you need to but have been putting off because it's new or difficult!

Great books for beginners (and advanced)
I am a beginner and I have only been playing for the last two months. However, this book has exercises that I can do and it helped me with my lessons. I can not comment on the advance portion since I am not at that level but the books looks like it has very advanced moves (that can be broken down for beginners). I would recommend this book to anyone who is beginning to play since it will help you with your lessons, see what is expected of advance playing and give you lots of challenges. Six months later and I continue using this book to use with my lesson. Teacher says I am almost at a first year level. This books helps you learn how to practice, the new techniques that you are going to learn in songs and build confidence. Recommend it.

Good excercises
Very quickly gets you into practicing your skills. However this is a little too advanced for my level at this point. Perhaps in about a year it will all make sense. But for those who actually know what they are doing, I can see how this book will work.

Excellent for beginners to advanced players
I am teaching myself to play harp and bought this early on. I find it an excellent supplement to method books, as it has a variety of exercises (intervals, chords, two-, three-, four-finger exercises, arpeggios, etc). These can be used for the earliest beginner, and, it appears, to much more advanced players. The spiral binding is nice as well for staying open on the stand while playing.

This will last my lifetime
After a few weeks I'm still on the first two pages. This book will clearly last my lifetime.I'm a beginning harp student studying with a couple of Mel Bay books and with Diana Rowan (sirenharp.com)via Skype. I asked her about this book and she recommended it, and all (as in, 100%) of the Amazon reviews I read also recommended it, and here I am and I'm recommending it too.It is exactly what it says it is: exercises to build up your agility and speed. They are well thought out, with simple instructions to help you maintain your focus on the intended study subject. As the student builds up skill the exercises increase in difficulty so that, as I say in my title, this can be a book to study with for a lifetime. Five stars without a moment's hesitation.
