Lamb Land: The Art of Marion Peck

I looked at it. It is amazing. I love her and I love what she does. She is as beautiful in her mind as she is her pictures. She is just great. I love my book.

One of my favorite artist...and this book is jam packed with all of her amazing works! Truly an incredible book of art for all ages.

The quality of the paper would stick and the images were not that great as I thought out of all of the pictures I liked about 2 which was a waste of money I like Mark Ryden a hundred times better

Images aren't really that high quality. I was hoping for very slick / glossy images (Ryden style). Just sort of average - wish I hadn't bought it.

The first monograph on Pop Surrealist artist Marion Peck, this is a very well-presented hardback volume.Peck has a stylistic approach similar to that of her husband (Mark Ryden) but she has an entirely different range of themes, obsessions and observations in her wonderfully rendered paintings and drawings.Packed with full-colour reproductions of her works from all periods of her career including drawings and installation/video works, this is a very fine reference and introduction to her fascinating oeuvre.Texts are in English/French and consist of a general introduction and useful introductory pieces by Peck herself to each section of the illustrations, a postface by Vincenzo Susca and an interview with the artist.A great showcase of Peck's art; indispensable for followers of Pop Surrealism and those who appreciate the rich diversity of current figurative painting.

Libro consistente per realizzazione e per contenuti. Grande panoramica sull'opera preziosa di Marion Peck.Bellissima carta patinata e spessa, bella rilegatura, intelligente l'impaginazione con i titoli delle opere a facile portata di mano, anche quando le dimensioni dell'opera costringono a spostarli prima o dopo. Riproduzioni bellissime dei quadri, qualitá di altissimo livello, colori stupendi. Raccolta di opere di un'artista fantastica, che io adoro come modo di dipingere, attingendo per certi versi all'antico nei colori, nell'atmosfera, in certe espressioni della pittura antica, ma con le sue idee, i suoi sogni. Questo é uno dei libri piú belli che ho, in assoluto. Finiró per consumarlo a forza di guardarlo. Per come é la mia vita adesso, che i sogni sono finiti, vorrei entrarci dentro e farmi piccola e aprire una porticina in uno degli alberi di Lambland e poterci abitare dentro e godere un pó dei suoi di sogni. Belle illustrazioni, grandi, ben stampate, numerose.E' quello che una persona che ama la pittura pop surrealista si aspetta da un catalogo d'arte.

The book weighs almost 2kg and it shows! There's so many images and text to go through. I found Marion through her husband, Mark Ryden, and their styles are similar. Great book for those who enjoy pop surrealisme.
