Finally having received a trio I was able in less than 15 minutes to remove all THREE GVM 880RS from the very handy carry bag they come in, put them together, attach the relevant power supplies and have the running as they should....they work exactly as described and once you've mastered the hue/saturation along with the master/slave settings (so that they can all be controlled as one if applicable) you're ready to go. The app (not essential if you don't want to use it) allows you to facilitate the lights from the comfort of your chair or wherever without the need to attend to the lights direct. Having now put them through their paces I can say without hesitation they are well worth a punt, the lights are super bright but will travel down to almost nothing if you want them to, the array of colours can easily be reached, the hue/saturation works very well indeed. The barn doors are easy to use the diffusers (already installed on the lamp when first opening) can be slid out easily enough if you don't want to use them. The rotary controls are good, responsive, smooth and no off/on, you simply keep rotating clockwise/anti-clockwise until you reach the desired point. The buttons are responsive, easy enough to depress and feel smooth. The ability to work them individually as slaves or via one of them as the master is flawless and adds a real nice touch to the operation of the lamps. The tripods seem good, they are easy to use, smooth when extending or taking down, sturdy enough to carry the weight of the lamps, if you are to use them in a outdoor setting I would take a sandbag simply to give them extra stability, but here in my soon to be mini-studio they're perfect. Also if you are to use these portable they come with the ability to use via two batteries (separate purchase)(per lamp) I won't need to but to have the option is excellent. The carrying bag along with bags for each individual lamp along with cases for each individual tripod is a nice touch, they're well made and the main carry case does exactly what it should, it gives the entire setup a good amount of independence. I can't speak for the longevity of these lamps but I did my research before buying, GVM (Great Video Maker) have a proven track record of good quality, easily adaptable products that work very well I can't quite afford it at the moment but to compliment these lights I'll be looking at the GVM-SD200R kit which if I do I'll be sure to review. GVM 880RS I can thoroughly recommend.

Outstanding piece of kit. Little playing around with to get rides to the interface, buttons and app, but I’m so impressed. High quality, great RVB colouring which is very strong, the stands are amazing. Why aren’t all stands made to fold on themselves to a compact state, like these. I would say, the LEDs do make subtle lines on the walls but I couldn’t see them in my photos.

Great product

I had originally purchased another brand but they wasn’t bright enough I then came across this set by GVM and 60w really attracted me. Having received the lights I quickly tested them they were bright easy to link to the app everything great. Until I noticed they arrived damaged. Scratches all over the screen panel area on the back and even more scratches and marks around the back. I initially wasn’t going to return them I contacted GVM about it showed them the condition they arrived in and was told it was the quality tester that has done this and they will refund £20 to me which they did do. However I like to look after all my gear and thinking more about this it was driving me crazy seeing this damage and if a quality tester damaged them surely it wouldn’t pass quality testing that in itself is concerning. £20 refund for what I believe to be used lights is just not acceptable customer service I believe these lights are not new because they wasn’t individually wrapped and there was no plastic covers on the plug prongs. So the lights are on their way back to Amazon. That will be my last GVM product I ever buy. I’ve given two stars because the lights are bright and colour seems accurate. I’ve deducted 3 stars for poor quality and bad experience.
