Growing up I was an avid collector of Beanie Babies, going as far as saving up weeks of allowance just to buy a rare, 'retired' ones. Not for the clout or for the sake of owning a rare Beanie Baby but simply because...I loved them! To this day, I still keep some of my favorite ones on my desk and bookshelf.Decades later, my store got a box of these for the Christmas holiday and I immediately fell in love with them! I wanted to buy the whole box! They all looked so distinct and fun that it was hard for me to just choose one! They reminded me so much of the Beanie Babies I owned as a child, from the pleasant, bean-filled bodies to the variety of designs. Like Beanie Babies, they have a certain heft and durability that appeals to the tactile sensory receptors in my brain. You can give them a squeeze and feel the stuffing and beans inside them. I was surprised by the high quality!Naturally, I went home and bought myself the entire 12 pack! After I had saved up some money of course. Bills and rent, you know. They came with the box like the one in the store (convenient!) and they all had little tags with their names on them!Now I'm about two decades older than the target demographic for these things so I have no idea what "Cats vs Pickles" is or what it's about. My understanding is that it has to do with the phenomenon of cats reacting with extreme fear and aversion to pickles, cucumbers, or other types of elongated produce. I'm not sure if it's some kind of cartoon or something but what I can tell you is that these colorful little bean bags give me a hit of nostalgia for when I collected Beanie Babies.In short: These festive Cats and Pickles are colorful, cute, and very well put together. My brother has been using them for juggling practice and they look wonderful with the other Christmas decorations.

I expected these to come in an unopened box, or at least a bag, but these were just open and loose in the packaging box. Was kind of weird to me. Otherwise, they are cute. A little pricey but expected for the collection.
