TOP LATCH, DOOR LATCH, AND 2 LATCH CLIPS - This simple latch mechanism is composed of 4 components. The top latch and door latch come with interchangeable latch clips. Each latch has posts that fit in mounting holes that measure 7/8 inches from center to center. If your mailbox has mounting holes that are farther apart, the latches may not clip on or even fit properly. COMPATIBLE WITH SOLAR GROUP STANDARD MAILBOXES - This latch kit will provide a snug fit, tightly securing your standard-sized metal mailboxes. It is suitable for use with existing latch holes (2 holes for the door latch and 2 holes for the top latch) on standard-sized metal mailboxes. Please note that you need to use the entire kit since the plastic latches won’t work with metal hardware.
